Two weeks ago, I was invited by Shu Uemura to their Rockwell store to try out the new Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte lipsticks. Being a matte lipstick lover and excited for Shu's first- ever matte lipstick line, I went at 11 a.m., the opening time of Powerplant Mall. (Told ya' I was excited!) I was the only customer in the store and it felt so heavenly: I was able to look around, swatch around, and shop around in peace. :D

And here is Shu Uemura's newest Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte line. Finally, they already have a matte line! I've always wondered how Shu Uemura, a brand who has been making glossy lipsticks since time immemorial, will create a matte variant. I thought it wouldn't be so nice since it's the brand's first time ever (if I'm not mistaken) to create a matte line. But no ma, Shu's matte lippies feel velvety smooth and soft. They've taken the softness of the regular Rouge Unlimited lipsticks and made it matte, solid, and pigmented. The result is a buttery, melt-on-your-lips kind of texture. Good job, Shu!
It only comes in 6 shades though. I wish they'd add more! :)
