Vidal Sasson Hair Care is back in The Philippines!

I looked up a couple of quotes from Mr. Vidal Sassoon in the Internet and everything he said was just all about hair, hair, hair. (And a lil' bit about shampoo) It goes to show that this man was just born to immortalize the art of hair styling: He spoke as a true artist should, and his words reflected how deeply he understood his art and how his passion goes beyond nipping. This has got to be my favorite quote:

- Vidal Sassoon

Vidal Sassoon is an iconic British hairdresser. His clientele include Mia Farrow, Brigitte Bardot, and Jackie Onassis. He trained under Raymond Bessone, a stylist and salon-preneur whom he claims as the guy who really taught him how to cut hair. In 1954, Sassoon opened his first salon in London and has expanded across the country and across the globe after a few years. Sassoon was known for his geometric, modern low- maintenance cuts that are meant to compliment all face shapes and frame them beautifully. Because of his no-compromise principle and undisputed techniques, Sassoon was (and is still) revered as the 'Hair Master' by all expert hairstylists around the globe. He opened the Vidal Sassoon Academy to train budding hair stylists, and it still remains as one of the best schools for those who want to make a career out of hairdressing. Jude Hippolito, if I'm not mistaken, is the only Filipino hairdresser who has trained in this prestigious academy. He has a salon in The Fort called JuRo Exclusif. I experienced Jude's hair prowess and I blogged about it HERE.

Vidal Sassoon created his line of hair care products in the 70's when one actor suggested it to him to complement his salon business. He followed the advice and not long enough, the line became very successful! His hair care line bore the tagline: "If you don't look good, we don't look good."

Vidal Sassoon's hair care line was once available in the country, but it's now back and better than ever! I had a little gathering with Sample Room, my co-partner bloggers and P&G to welcome (again) this new and exciting brand in the country.

GET SASSOONED after the break as I show you the entire range!

The Vidal Sassoon Premium Hair Care Range promises to nourish, strengthen, soften, and enliven hair so it becomes more fluid, more obedient, and healthier. Our local selections include the following:

Vidal Sassoon Shampoo- 199ml (P190.00) and 480ml (P459.00)
Vidal Sassoon Conditioner- 199ml (P190.00) and 480ml (P459.00)
Vidal Sassoon Intensive Hair Mask- P300.00+
Vidal Sassoon Magic Style Activator- this is a pre- styling treatment that protects hair from hot hair tools and makes it more obedient to styling. Price is P300.00+.

P&G also gave us a preview of what happened to Bianca Gonzalez during her Get Sassooned treatment wherein she was given a whole new cut and color! Bianca has always had long, sleek, black hair, and the stylists at Vidal Sassoon thought she needed something new! Of course she was deathly afraid at first, but in the end, she was very happy with the outcome-in fact, it excited her! Through Bianca's transformation, Vidal Sassoon wants to communicate that the spirit of the brand is all about rediscovering the different facets of yourself through your hair style.

Thanks for this awesome gathering, Sample Room and P&G!

I just finished my shampoo and conditioner and I love both! I already bought the 480ml bottles yesterday. Will be reviewing them soon! :D In the meantime, you can find them in leading department stores and supermarkets.
