CK2: The Scent Of Millenials


The simplest way to understand Millenials is to know that we value freedom and connection more than anything else; give us a blank space and allow us to create; give us guidelines, but not rules; we build our own universes, but we want these universes to connect and complement each other. 20 years ago, Calvin Klein launched CK 1, the scent of Generation X, the glorious 90's where people believed in the power of groups and tribes, people who lived underground and shared a killer life.

20 years after, CK 2 is born.

CK 2 EDT, a new scent by Calvin Klein, aims to be the scent of this generation: both fresh and warm, both fluid and electric, this fragrance inspires stories of personal, gender- free connections that are thrilling, extraordinary, and young.

Notes feature wasabi, which gives an unexpected "Hello" at the top along with mandarin and violet leaf absolute to give a burst of spontaneous, creamy warmth and depth; the scent of wet cobblestones, orris concrete, and rose absolute linger in the heart for electric freshness, like the feeling of a first touch and gaze; finally, sparks fly and connections deepen as the base reveals a fiery, sensual accord of Jasmine, Incense, Sandalwood, and Vetiver. The flacon is a nod to this generation' high tech lifestyle and the crystal clear choice reflects transparency, an important component of connection.

In many ways, this fragrance speaks of my relationship with Mikki Galang, my bestest Blogger friend and business partner; it all started with knowing that we both love makeup, travel, fried chicken, and digital, and from then on, a wonderful partnership ensued.   5. Calvin Klein was one of my father's favorite. I know he'll love it more cos it's upgraded its scent that will suit on our generation. :) I remember when my father went home from Italy, he had a lot of CK bottles and testers. And I loved all the scent! In just one spray, the scent would entirely spread out all over the place.

  7. It has always been difficult for me to find the right scent. Sometimes i fancy fruity or flowery scents while sometimes i long for a masculine type of smell. Millenials have this tendency of jumping from one thing to another and it is important for products to adapt to this generation. Really glad ck fit their product to its consumers :)

  8. Until now i still have an (empty) cK one bottle. I don't know why am i still holding on to that bottle,haha! Probably because 'twas popular during my younger years and it reminds of those happy days.
    Did you say cK2 has wasabi notes? That's interesting! I don't know why i prefer gender neutral and sometimes, masculine scent than those specifically made for women.
