THE VERDICT:
I've always wanted to try Laduree's petal blushes; it's basically a vintage- looking tub filled with artificial Rose petals that carried the blush. I finally got to try it at a Laduree makeup counter in Japan, but was sadly underwhelmed. No doubt, it was luxurious- looking and nice to look at, but it takes a lot of effort to pick up the product from the rose petals. At P7k+, I would expect that the product, more than looking nice, will deliver in all ways.
So I picked up the pressed cheek color instead. Not as fancy as the petals blush, but my priority was a product that will work.
Les Merveilleuses Cheek Color is a pretty blush that yields a soft matte finish!
LADUREE LES MERVEILLEUSES CHEEK COLOR IN 09 IN DETAIL
This blush comes in refill form and is housed in a special compact. Shade range features 23 shades in a matte finish.
The compact is pretty and conveniently features a compact blush brush that's soft, gentle on the skin, and picks up the right amount of color. The compact is lightweight and decently sized that it won't take up too much space in your makeup kit.
The blush and compact are being sold separately. These are the pretty boxes!

If you want a wide range of blushes in a matte finish, you should look into this collection. I also noticed that the collection features pretty bright and unique, vintage colors such as yellow-orange and bright orange; they added to the overall vintage Parisienne theme of the products.
09 is a brick rose shade. Finish is matte, texture is smooth, soft, and buttery, and packs medium to heavy coverage. My only problem with the blush it it's not pressed very well onto the pan; it fell once from a chair level height and the bottom portion of the blush chipped off!
LES MERVEILLEUSES LADUREE CHEEK COLOR IN 09 IN ACTION
This blush yields a soft matte finish; pretty natural- looking for a pigmented matte blush and that's what I love about it. Staying power is very decent too.
If you have the money or you don't mind spending on pretty packaging, I suggest you get this because it's pretty and product delivers too. To be honest, I won't say go grab this one right away because even if it's a good blush, there are other matte blushes that can deliver at an affordable price.

ReplyDeleteI like the shades in you, you look fresh with that Ms. Martha.
ReplyDeletei'm in love with their packaging! It's just simply classy and pleasing to the eyes. I agree though to not buy it immediately as there are other brands who can give the same or better quality at a more affordable price. But if you have the money, go for it! This would make me feel like royalty if I have these on my vanity table!
ReplyDeleteGosh! It's one of the prettiest blushes I've ever seen. So classy and regal looking. This is probably a good buy for collectors. I've seen Graveyard girl and Tati use the rose petal blushes. They look exquisite bordering fancy pokeballs. Lol!
ReplyDeleteWaaaaaa! I am really into pretty packaging but will still look at the price though as I can't afford as of the moment. But this is really adorable!!!!!!! Plus I am inlove with vintage things. Oh my oh my!
ReplyDeleteThe product looks very pretty!!!! I want this for myself. :( Sadly, I don't have the means to obtain this one yet. :( The shade, however, look lovely on you Ms. Martha. :)
ReplyDeleteA+ for the packaging very pretty and I won't be ashamed to retouch in front of everyone (public restroom).
ReplyDeletethe intricate design of the packaging is so nice... the color of the blush is nice also but I agree that there are other brands that is more affordable that this one which actually offers more better!
ReplyDeleteI've lusted over the petal blushes because they're very famous online, and I've always wondered if the flowers themselves were made of color pigments or if they were just coated with powder. Like how would you know you've run out of product? =))) Laduree's blushes are pretty wild! Didn't expect to see full on purple and oranges in the product range, but it adds personality to the brand. :) I love hoe classic their packaging is. It makes me feel like I own something from centuries ago! There's something so sophisticated about their packaging, and sometimes I wonder if you just end up paying for the packaging instead of the actual product haha.
ReplyDeleteI love the packaging! <3
ReplyDelete09 looks good!
