THE VERDICT:

Since I was talking about the much- awaited Prom night in my recent EOTD post, here's something that I would recommend to gals for their magical night: Lipglosses.

Lip glosses are great on young people because the 'mirror shine' effect keeps them looking 'young'. It's also best to tame down bold and opaque lipsticks.

From the 'Lolita' of makeup brands comes Honey Pump Glosses. They are very rich and emollient, yet surprisingly non- sticky. I think lip glosses should be like this. Well, there's some sort of stickiness to it due to its formulation, but it doesn't feel too pasty, and feels light on the lips.

It's also lightly sprinkled with glitters for a plumper pout. It can be used on its own, or as a topper for lipsticks.

Lace: a sheer pink gloss with swirls of liquid gold and sprinkled with silver shimmer. It's basically like clear gloss on me. It will fare better on younger gals, say 14-18, because they have pinker lips (due to age). I think Lace will beautifully enhance those young and pink lips.

Secretly: My favorite among the two. It is a light peach lip gloss with slight gold shimmer. It just gives my lips this nice and juicy pout. I wear it on days when I don't want to wear lipstick, especially now that summer is just around the corner.

Overall, I think they're pretty nice, not to mention these glosses are tote-able. Lasting power is not so good, and if I apply too much, it sort of slides around my lips (which I think are inherent in all lipglosses, regardless of brand.) The good thing about this is, even if it wears off, it still leaves a thin barrier that keeps my lips flake- free and smooth throughout the day, and it doesn't leave nasty tints that are so hard to remove.

I like it, and I would buy it again after I've milked Secretly. I'm not really a lipgloss wearer, so I think it will take me time before I get my next tube. :)
