THE VERDICT:

Surprised to know that Revlon has a cleansing oil? Ditto! Actually, it's only part of their extensive Absolute C Skin Care line, a skin care line- up formulated with the powerful and beneficial Vitamin C complex.

Let's look at the specifics first: It comes in a clear plastic bottle that's slim and very lightweight. However, transparent bottles may cause your products to oxidize quickly, so make sure you store this one away from sunlight and heat. This principle also applies to all of your products in transparent containers.

It comes with a convenient pump for easier dispensing, albeit the pump on my bottle is causing the product to leak. :/ Make sure (if the SA will allow you) to check the bottle pumps prior to purchasing.

Please take note that it has Mineral Oil in it, meaning it might not suit people with hyper reactive or acne- prone skin. To those who are using it, make sure you wash your skin thoroughly with soap and water after wiping it off from your skin to prevent the oil from clogging your pores.

Consistency is a bit thicker than say, Shu Uemura's Cleansing Oil. It feels a bit oily on skin, but I find that it comes off quickly when you wipe it off or rinse it with water. It can also remove tough mascaras, gel liners, and any kind of waterproof makeup, and has a refreshing orange scent.

Right after rinsing, it leaves your skin soft and smooth. The oil doesn't sting, but since it has a thick consistency, you'll need to wash your eyes for around 2- 3 times when you use this to remove mascara, as the product has a tendency to cling on to lashes.

At least I didn't breakout during my usage. It works as expected, and its quality is good enough for its price. If you're a beauty on a budget and you're looking for a good cleansing oil, I would suggest this product.

  1. Hi Ms. Martha,

I regularly washing my face using cold water to close the pores. Does it affect my skin if I use this Revlon Cleansing oil after I wash my face with cold water?
