Maybelline Eyestudio Brow Definist in 02 Brown Review

Here's a review on Maybelline Eyestudio Brow Definist in 02 Brown

PRICE: P359.00
PLACE BOUGHT: Free
OTHER LOCATIONS: Available in all leading drugstores and department stores

 THE VERDICT:

If you're looking for a great but super affordable brow kit, go for Maybelline's Brow Definist. You all know that Benefit's Brow Zings is my HG brow kit and how picky I am when it comes to brow products, but this one truly impressed me!

Contents: Brow Wax, Brow Powder, Dual ended Brow brush

The compartment part of the brush is actually the mirror, but it's not that useful for me. Packaging feels cheap but hey, it's only P359.00! :D

Here's the brush. The stiffer one is for applying brow wax, and the flimsy one is for applying the powder. I actually thought that the powder brush is useless, but it works so well with the texture of the brow powder. I like how the powder brush deposits the right amount of powder onto my brows--it's like the flimsiness of the brush sorta' controls the coverage. It's quite hard to explain though. You gotta try it to see what I mean. :D

Wax- a very light brown shade. Consistency is semi- creamy and smooth.
Powder- a beige-brown shade with a honey undertone. Texture is somewhere in between chalky and creamy.

Both products yield medium to heavy coverage. It's great for newbies!

HOW TO USE:

Step 1: Using the stiff brush, swipe it lightly on the brow wax, and carefully map your brows to determine its shape.

Step 2: Using the flimsy brush, swipe it lightly on the brow powder, tap off excess, and dust powder onto your brows while using feathery strokes. Dust some powder on the wax to set it.

Staying power is good. It lasts all day without streaking or smudging. I have oily skin and the wax stays intact even if my forehead starts oiling up. (It also helps that I set the brow wax with the brow powder) The shade gives my brows a very natural tint too.

Overall, I like it. If I run out of Brow Zings and I don't have a budget for it yet, I'd go for this one!

  1. Ang cute ng packaging and ganda ng color pay-off. Hmm, mauubos na brow gel and powder ko might try this one. The difference lang naman sa ginagamit ko today is 100 pesos.

I don't know about make up expiration but my brow kit is older than my grama so i guess it's time to look for one. Maybelline sounds good. glad i found this.
