This has to be my ultimate favorite: Davidoff Coolwater for Men. I even bought one before for personal use because that's how much I love it. This fragrance will always be the classic man scent in my opinion, and it's the perfume incarnate of my ideal man: Spontaneous, youthful, charming, and has this boy-next-door appeal. Good thing this perfume is my BF's one and only scent! :D

BVLGARI POUR HOMME
I had this fantasy of having a Doctor boyfriend before because I just thought that healing people is damn hot! HAHA! Bvlgari Pour Homme has this "professional" scent and every time I catch a whiff of it, I'm always reminded of my hunky doc dream guy. :D

GIORGIO ARMANI ACQUA DI GIO
When I was in my senior year in highschool, I went gaga over UAAP players and the fresh, watery, sporty scent of Acqua Di Gio just reminded me of these jocks. I still gush every time I smell this fragrance, but nah, I'm already over that I-Want-To-Be-A-Basketball-Player's-GF phase. :D

POLO SPORT FOR MEN
You might hate to admit it, but I'm sure that at one point in your life, you've developed a tiny crush on a particular guy who wore this scent! Haha! To me, this is the closest contender of Davidoff Coolwater For Men-it has the same appeal of Davidoff, but this one's a lil' sporty and edgy. Also, my first high school crush wore this fragrance. :D

ReplyDeletei've always liked jean paul gaultier's le male with its subtle masculine scent. i think women who likes musky scents would appreciate this too as i do spritz it when i want to feel powerful.

Davidoff Coolwater is also my all-time favorite fragrance for men as well as Bvlgari. But my bf loves RL or Davidoff Coolwater. Lacoste green and Clinique Happy for men would also be good choices. :)

ReplyDeleteCool Water and Polo Sport!! Obsession for Men too. I think the scents we remember are scents that have meanings in the past. When I smell something familiar, memories at that certain time, with that certain someone, definitely come to mind!

ReplyDeleteDuring high school, boys in our school used the Axe chocolate (?) deo/body spray. I even used it since it smelled so nice. Now during college I don't notice boys using perfume or body sprays anymore, and my course is full of boys (engineering). I wish boys would also take notice on how they smell. My bf doesn't usually wear scents since not all scents agree with my nose. Would check out the davidoff coolwater perfum, maybe I can give that to him as a gift for our anniversary. Congrats on the years you two spent together.
ReplyDeleteOh, where do you usually buy perfumes? I'm curious on where you can buy fresh (newly made) stocks po since manufacturing date are almost always never printed. I like my cosmetics, skincare and perfume fresh/ new stock.
My boyfriend's using Johnson's baby cologne (Playtime collection) Hahaha! Dont know where he got the idea but I really really loved it on him and I also bought the same scent. =))

Anonymous: Hi there and welcome to tbj! Thanks for sharing! I buy my stocks either from Rustan's or Cash and Carry. Perfumes rarely put the manufacturing and expiry date on the boxes, but they are usually good for 1 year. :) Store them in the fridge to prolong their shelf life and don't put them under sunlight! :)

My boyfriend is an intern, so might as well check out that bvlgari one. I once gave him bvlgari aqua and he still use it up to now. This post is great! It gave me some idea what to give him next :)
