THE VERDICT:

Jumbo eyeliners are on the rise lately. What's up? It is because the graphic eyeliner look is becoming more and more prominent nowadays, and this chubby liner proves to be the best tool in achieving this statement look.

ESSENCE COSMETICS I LOVE PUNK JUMBO EYELINER PEN IN ULTRA BLACK IN DETAIL

If Essence Cosmetics' Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner is like Sharpie, I Love Punk Jumbo Eyeliner is pretty much like Felt Tip Markers: it creates thick, bold, rounded lines for heavy definition.

Never put this on your office desk or work table, or else somebody might mistake it as a real Felt Tip Marker Pen lol!

The pen comes with a felt tip marker that tapers slightly at the tip. It's quite soft and you won't feel any tugging as you line your eyes, albeit the sharp tip feels a lil' scratchy on the lids. The marker feels very solid and it's not the type that will fan out after a number of uses. The width of the entire pen is very friendly to the grip, and gives you more control over the product.

Believe it or not, I drew this-not some young person LOL!

It only comes in one color, Ultra Black. Formula is fast- drying and non- sting, and leaves a glossy finish on the lids.

You can actually create a couple of looks using this eyeliner. Here are some tips:

For a thick line: Lay the marker on its side and close to your lash line then start lining outwards in a careful motion. Use the tip to create flicks and tails on the end of the line.

For medium-thick lines: Gently press the tip of the liner onto your lash lines then line your eyes as usual.

For thin, discreet lines: Use the tip and line your lash lines in an outward motion using feathery strokes.

ESSENCE COSMETICS I LOVE PUNK JUMBO EYELINER PEN IN ULTRA BLACK IN ACTION

Thick eyeliner look

If you're gonna ask me, it really works best if you want heavy lines-for those who like it natural and discreet, go for the traditional liquid liner pen with thin applicators for less effort. Staying power is so-so: It does not fade but on oily lids, it should be worn with an eye primer as it smudges for a little-it work best on those with normal skin around the lids. I also think this eyeliner will best suit those with deep creases as it will give such eye shapes better definition.

Speaking of the graphic eyeliner look, I'll whip up some looks soon including tutorials and this product! :)

  1. Hi Ms. M! I don't use eyeliners cause I don't think they look good on me and I don't know how to apply it correctly, pasmado kasi ako. Haha. But I wanna try it cause it looks good on others. Anyway, I just want to ask, which looks better on small & sleepy eyes, thin or thick line? I'd like to make my eyes look bigger. :)

  3. Finally! I'm a huge fan of thickly-lined eyes. I don't add wings, though because they're usually uneven, and it makes my eyes look smaller. I fined that thickly-lining my eyes make them look somewhat bigger and rounder, which I love! My problem with thin eyeliners is that I have to layer it to achieve the desired width, so it takes a lot of effort. Thanks for this review! I'll go check this out! :)

  4. Hi, Martha! I love how you drew your eyes. Love ko ang eyeliner. Felt pen ba siya? Nadiscourage kasi ako sa felt pen nung nakabili ako sa Elf. I love K- Pallete's ang sakit lang sa bulsa. What I do para tipid, I use it to outline tapos pang fill in gel eyeliner :)

  5. I'll definitely grab this next time I visit SM San Lazaro... I need an easy to use eyeliner. I don't have much time to apply eyeliner nowadays eh... Cream liners are difficult to use especially when you're in a hurry. thanks for the review, Ms. Martha! ^__^
