Last month, I got a lil' obsessed about skin care products. Reading about skin care product reviews online was a favorite past time. When I went to Japan, I hoarded skin care products. (and some for the hair too) During mall trips, I killed time by visiting beauty boutiques and you guessed it, I checked out the skin care counters a lot. Now that ain't a bad thing, isn't it? As the old adage goes, beautiful skin starts with great skin care!
Predictably, my favorites last month were mainly comprised of no other than skin care stuff. There were a few makeups too! Click READ MORE and know why they're my favorites!
ZA CLEANSING OIL
- Can I just say that I've found the perfect and super affordable alternative of Shu Uemura's Cleansing Oil?! It removes all types of makeup very well and it didn't break me out! :)
SHISEIDO PERFECT WHIP CLEANSING FOAM
When blind buys become good buys. Zhuo Deng, an employee for Shiseido Japan and the girl who guided us all throughout our Japan experience was raving about this cleansing foam. I got two tubes and now I wish I got more. It feels soooo nice and it really leaves your skin squeaky clean but soft!
Another awesome purchase of mine in Japan. It's very mild, removes all kinds of makeup easily, and doesn't sting the eyes.
BOBBI BROWN BUFFING GRAINS
I kinda' liked the concept of this product, and that is facial scrubbing without the more-often-than-not peeling acid- induced bases. More about this product in a detailed review!
PHILOSOPHY LIVING GRACE EDP
A new fragrance release of Philosophy, one of my favorite beauty brands. Smells like paradise! :)
LUCIDO-L STYLING MILK STRAIGHT
This very light lotion for the hair gives me wonderfully sleek and straight locks all day. Smells nice too!
ZA TOTAL HYDRATION BB CREAM UV WHITE
A BB Cream that really acts like a primer. It helps control oil and softens your skin.
Super affordable and works really well at absorbing oil, keeping your face matte, and setting your foundation. It doesn't feel cheap as well!
MAKEUP FACTORY LIGHT REFLECTING CONCEALER
A concealer that dries to a no-budge matte finish. It's multi-purpose too as you can use it to highlight the different parts of your face.
That's all! Stay tuned for my August favorites! :)

Looking forward to your August favorites! <3 Just a question though, how much does the Hayan powder and the concealer costs? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm so loving all of your skincare picks... And that Bobbi Brown scrub thingy is sooo interesting! Will be waiting for the review ^^
ReplyDeleteThe Bobbi Brown Buffing Grains look very interesting, I cannot wait for your review on that Ms. M. Will definitely check out ZA, I believe I saw a counter in Trinoma. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love reading about skin care too! Lately I've been more obsessed with skin care than make-up, which for me is a lot healthier, right? But then if I keep purchasing skin care I won't need after (probably) a year when I'm done with my current stocks, I don't think it's a good thing either. Haha! So what I do I just avoid going to those skin care counters in order to stop myself longing for more :)
