Here's a review on Inglot Bright N Matte Lipsticks in 424 and 426.
Price: P795.00/each
Bought From: Free
Other Locations: Available in Inglot, Glorietta 5
THE VERDICT:
Inglot's like a watercolor palette because they've got any color you can possibly think of. If you haven't been to their store in Glorietta 5, you should go and visit for a preview of some of the most outrageous colors like an electric lime eyeshadow, hot pink eyeliner, yellow lipstick, black lipstick, and even a white lipstick! :D
Since I mentioned lipsticks, here are two out of the five colors from their new Bright N Matte collection. The nice thing about this collection is it's got a good mix of dark (but color still pops from the skin tone) and bright colors-choose whatever that tickles your fancy!
INGLOT BRIGHT N MATTE LIPSTICKS IN 424 AND 426 IN DETAIL
Bright N Matte Lipstick is part of Inglot's Summer 2014 makeup collection. Aside from these two, there's also a bright pink shade, muted lilac shade, and a berry-fuchsia shade (which I sooo like!)

INGLOT BRIGHT N MATTE LIPSTICKS IN 424 AND 426 IN ACTION
424
- 424 is a described as a cherry orange shade, which is quite apt. It's a bright orange shade with a slight cherry red undertone
It is no secret that orange looks good on warm skin tone, and this is no exception. The cherry red undertone will compliment fairer skin tones as well. However, I find that this particular shade enhances dry areas and strangely, it makes my lips flake for a bit. The culprit could be the pigment used and the kind of shade it has! FYI, lighter colors in matte finishes tend to cake and look flaky-this rings true not only for Inglot, but for most brands too.
426
- a plum berry shade
424 is like a less violet version of MAC Rebel and a more plum version of Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Shameless. it's the exact opposite of 424: It's smoother, covers evenly, doesn't enhance dryness, and doesn't make my lips dry.
My very first matte lipstick from Inglot is called 405. I remember that it's super smooth and I've experienced zero dryness with it, but I find that the new Inglot mattes are bolder, more matte, and richer. (This could be a reformulation!) A reader of mine nailed it on Instagram when she commented on one of my photos and said that Bright N Matte's quality is like MAC's Retro Matte and I couldn't agree more, but the former is just less drying and comes in more colors. That said, you should scrub your lips and prep with a lip balm before usage. If you're looking forward to purchasing these lippies, I would suggest go for the darker shades as they seem to have a more tolerable consistency. ;)
