Here's a review on L'Oreal Mythic Oil.
Price: P995.00
Bought From: Henri Calayag Salon
Available in: Selected salons around the metro
THE VERDICT:
I ran out of my precious Kerastase Elixir Ultime one time and all I had was P1,000 in my wallet, and I needed it badly-I've been using hair oil each and every single day for the past three years and I feel naked without it-it's that essential to me.
When I picked up mom one time at Henri Calayag, Residences at Greenbelt, Makati after having her monthly hair pampering sesh, I saw this product called L'Oreal Mythic Oil and upon seeing that it's only P995 (I got change! Woot!), I grabbed it right away because Kerastase is by L'Oreal anyway. This product is a blessing in disguise because now I have a much cheaper (but still luxe) dupe for my favorite Kerastase product!
L'OREAL MYTHIC OIL IN DETAIL
L'Oreal Mythic Oil is an oil- based serum for hair that contains Avocado and Grapeseed oils to control frizz, tame flyaways, nourish hair, and keep it shiny throughout the day.
Ingredients
More about this lovely, everyday hair serum after the break!
Product conveniently comes in a 125ml plastic bottle with a pump-the bottle is a little bouncy and it's the type that will not break from any hard fall.
Mythic Oil is a clear, moisturizing, concentrated oil that has a light floral fragrance. However, the scent doesn't linger long enough to mask the scent of smoke and sweat in my hair, but it really gets rid of dryness and untangles my locks in a snap.
It does make my hair shiny all throughout the day and keeps flyaways and frizz tamed, as advertised. I only take two drops of this product every time-anything more than that and my hair will feel greasy.

A bottle can last you for 2-3 months at 2 drops, once a day, everyday usage. Unlike Kerastase Elixir Ultime, this is more of a leave-in product and I didn't feel in any way that it was a treatment (or maybe my hair is just too damn dry for life!). Nevertheless, it works just the way I want it to and I'll still consider buying it when I don't have a budget for Kerastase!

I've tried a sample of this one and I super love it! I'm hesitant at first to try it. I wanted to give it to others na lang as I find hair oils too sticky. it attracts dirt to my hair. I'm glad I gave this product a try. It really tamed my hair and didn't attract dirt. This is an affordable hair saver talaga
ReplyDeleteMy hair is behaving crazy recently. It's quite dry and frizzy (and I spy some snowflakes sometimes) and just not manageable. I wash my hair every other day and I don't use super drying products on it. Which is why I've been trying out different moisturizing products recently and even make my own moisturizing hair masks. I've really been liking applying oils too, and one product I've been using is Human Nature's sunflower oil, but I find that it makes my hair all clumpy though I only apply one pump. But it still is an okay product, specially for it's price. Haha! Would love to try this one out pag na feel kong maging sosyal and spend an almost 1000 for my hair. Which is something to consider naman. :)
ReplyDeleteI use hair everyday too. Whenever my hair seems buhaghag, I really need this kind of stuff. I guess this should be used with caution when it comes to frequency since it has oil. I'm using black beauty serum now just because of curiosity. I saw your review about that when they're still in their old packaging cover design.
ReplyDeleteAbegaill: Agree! I asked the BF to buy me one for Xmas and he gladly obliged haha!
ReplyDeleteTeri: Oh that one's good too, plus it's really affordable. How do you find it, dear? :)
Cath: I don't mind spending on hair products (but I don't spend a fortune) because I can attest how they can make a difference to the hair. I tried that HHN Sunflower Oil for my hair and their hair serum too, but found both products too oily. :/
Let me know what you think of this post! :)
