THE VERDICT:

We were taught about cleanliness at home, in school, and basically everywhere. Clean as you go, keep clean, stay clean-cleanliness is a beautiful way of life because when a place is clean, it only evokes positive energy that soothes the soul and clarifies the mind.

With makeup, I make it a point to come up with a clean finish all the time because it is not only a sign of skillfullness, but of professionalism also-I believe that this shows I'm professional in everything I do plus I believe it makes me look physically clean as well.

Clean, pro- finish makeup always means lots of time to devote to preparation, PRO and pricey products, or to some extent, a makeup artist doing your makeup.

Not really.

Save yourself from all that hassle with Happy Skin's Don't Get Mad Get Even Hydrating Powder Foundation, a real good foundation that gives you this kind of finish in just a few swipes and in just a few minutes!

HAPPY SKIN DON'T GET MAD GET EVEN HYDRATING POWDER FOUNDATION IN 03 DEEP BEIGE IN DETAIL

This powder claims to be hydrating and to provide a flawless, soft- focus, and customizable finish. You can layer it on to minimize fine lines, wrinkles, and conceal imperfections. Formula features Japanese Cherry Blossom extract to hydrate skin and SPF 20 PA++. It comes in three shades: 01 Soft Beige, 02 Natural Beige, and 03 Warm Beige (formerly Deep Beige).

Product comes in a slim, rectangular case-it's a bit huge, but slim and lightweight, at least. The powder comes with an acrylic cover too to protect it further from breakage and from getting scuffs.

Ingredients

More about this fresh, clean, and overall, nice face product after the cut!

03 Deep Beige (now Warm Beige) is a medium beige with an olive undertone. The sponge is of high quality: I've been using it for roughly around 8 months now and it's still working fine-it is now exhibiting signs of usage, but it's still intact, pretty much and hasn't crumbled on me yet. I also like that this sponge doesn't have huge holes on it, thus the powder does not sink into oblivion and each and every speck of pigment goes right onto my skin.

The powder has a smooth texture that's a little bit dry and little bit creamy, making it suitable for just about any skin type. It is unscented, yields light to medium coverage, and a semi- matte finish.

Two layers of Happy Skin Don't Get Mad Get Even Hydrating Powder Foundation in 03 Deep Beige

This powder has a beautiful, breathable texture and it just sinks into the skin quickly. Its smooth finish makes you look as if you're wearing BB Cream or a makeup base underneath even if you're not and that's a great thing! However, it cannot completely cover discolorations, especially the really dark ones.

Staying power is okay: It stays fresh and matte for about 4 hours before sebum starts seeping through my pores. I use it during daytime only because it yields a white cast plus I think this powder, given its performance and finish, is really intended for that. I also don't think that this powder is as hydrating as it claims to be due to the slight dryness of its texture so if you've got dry skin (and even oily skin), moisturize or use a hydrating base beforehand. Oh, did I mention that it has a poor shade selection as well? I hope they'd look into adding more shades soon.

Despite these, I still like this powder foundation: It's simple, no fuss, and looks really clean on the skin: it doesn't look powdery and cakey, doesn't settle into fine lines nor leave ugly pigment/powder patches across the skin. I'd love to repurchase this when I'm done with my current compact, but I don't think there's a refill for Warm Beige. I hope there is!

This is perfect for those who want a powder that gives the I-am-wearing-powder-but-it-doesn't-look-like-it look or for those who want a powder that looks simply fresh and neat on the skin-it's like an OC's powder foundation! :D

  1. I used this once and I love the coverage. It is very light on my face and it hides my redness and darkspots on the face but not the pimples. I only tried this once because it is quite pricey so i switched to another. But all in all. I really love how it blends perfectly on my face, also the packaging is very unique. I like that the foam is separated from the powder foundation.

  3. It really blended well on your skin, your face looks fresh! Though it doesn't cover those dark marks..

  4. Sayang this only has 3 shades. I have the hardest time looking for a local brand that suits very pale skin. The packaging is so attractive.

  5. You're so beautiful. I know you get that a lot, but I just had to say it. Haha

I agree that they should expand their shade selection just a wee bit more. After all, this is a local brand, and it's a little expensive. Keeping my fingers crossed :)

  8. They come up with the most creative cosmetic brands these days, don't they? Makes you smile before putting them on. Your skin looks good with or without powder. But of course, we girls want to stay shine-free and non-greasy all day long. Not very impressed with its staying power since you rated it only 3.5/5. However, I still think Happy Skin Don't Get Mad Get Even Hydrating Powder Foundation is still worth a shot. It does give a clean, natural appearance. Looks good on you! I really hate it when I have that cakey/powdery face in my pictures. Thanks for this review.

  9. I have tried this twice and I remember loving it! It's so light on the skin and has the right coverage. Downside is that, it doesn't last long enough. But I don't mind reapplying it

  10. Our very own filipino made (PROUDLY FILIPINO MADE) aside from SNOE!

the packaging where so girly and cute, the color chosen for their product doesnt bore me even

i really want to get one (as gift to my self maybe) and im torn between getting this or the lippies!

bit disappointed on its staying power.. (how many hour ms m? 3?4? because i have read your review on L'oreal and Maybelline's new realeased powder and they could last and at cheaper prices)

  11. Based on your review, I think this is also a great product. I don't mind doing retouches just to keep my face oil free but they can make this product more affordable :)

  12. Kleah: I like that the powder comes with an acrylic cover! I always tend to damage my powders 'cuz I'm clumsy like that and this feature is heaven- sent to me. :)

Simplyme: IMO, it's pretty worth its price. :)

Abegaill: The feel is so perfect for tropical weather, no? :)

Rhain: Get this and the lippies-it's you birthday anyway! :) The downside of this one is it doesn't last long enough, around 3 hours tops. :p

FayeSolis: Hi and welcome to my blog! :) MAC SF is around P1800.00 already, isn't it? This one is still more affordable, but I do get you-MAC SF was once my most favorite powder foundation. :)

    Newbee Marie: You're welcome. :)

    Sincere: IKR :p

Christine: Oh I don't think this one has a shade for very pale skin though. :/

Anna: You're welcome! Thanks for your insight. ;)
