THE VERDICT:

If there's one Korean skin care brand that I want to see in the Philippines, it's Innisfree. I've only tried two products from this brand and I liked both very much, plus the products are pretty affordable! The first Innisfree product I tried was No Sebum Mineral Powder and the second one is what I shall review for you guys today. Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask is a wonderful mask for oily skin because it gets rid of shine, refreshes skin, and makes the skin feel very clean overall!

INNISFREE SUPER VOLCANIC PORE CLAY MASK IN DETAIL

This award- winning mask features Volcanic Scoria-a powerful sebum- removing ingredient that is sourced from lava when it has cooled down-from the volcanic ash of Jeju Volcano in Jeju Island. The cleansing effects of the ash are contained in the formula's Super Volcanic Capsules and are activated upon application. Together with AHA, Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask deep cleans and exfoliates to reveal fresh, new skin.

The mask has a gray hue and a thick, putty- like texture-it really feels like clay and I love how non-messy it is to use. It is fragrance- free, but has this natural- occurring clay scent that is mild and not bothersome, plus it yields a relaxing, cooling sensation to the skin.

INNISFREE SUPER VOLCANIC PORE CLAY MASK IN ACTION

This clay mask is truly photo-worthy! LOL!

It's very concentrated that you only need a tiny amount to get good coverage like what I have on in the photo. It hardens pretty quickly and gives the face a slight tightening effect that you can still twitch your facial muscles. I always leave it on for 10 minutes on my face.

Take a moment to examine my nose in the photo. If you've noticed, there are tiny dots forming on the surface of the mask, a sign that the mask's negative ions are sucking out the impurities (usually charged with positive ions) from my nose-I love the fact that one can actually see that the mask is working!

After rinsing, my skin looks mighty fresh and even, feels matte, soft, and really, really clean, as if I had a derma- grade mask procedure, but right in the comfort of my own home. I've used this product for one year straight (that's how much I loved it!) at twice a week usage and I noticed that my skin wasn't breaking out often than the usual because it deep cleans the skin, but I found that it's not really effective in getting rid of pimples once they're there already-it's more of a preventive treatment if you're going to ask me.

This mask is really economical and may last for more than one year, but loses its efficacy once it hits the one year mark so better use it up before it expires!

I'm very happy with the performance and quality of this mask and I will surely buy it again when I get the chance. Oh Innisfree, when will you guys open a store in the Philippines?!!

  1. I love innisfree as well! I'm currently ordering Innisfree products online through FB and instagram. But I want a physical store in the country. I love using their masks and lipsticks. Anyway, I think this is somewhat similar to glamglow? If it is, wow, I love this as well. I love glamglow but since it is kinda pricey, I can't buy it

  3. just learned about this product only now since I am into local brands, quality products but affordable. As a mother, I need to be very much cautious on what to buy. I wonder how much this cost? I have oily skin and large pores on my t-zone and blackheads and whiteheads as well. Any product recommendation I can use to address my skin problem? Thank you very much in advance.

  4. Ah so you've tried the no sebum powder na pala :D I have this and I bought it for around 700 php from an online third party seller. Really good! The first time I used it, I saw a huge as in HUGE difference on my skin. It instantly became brighter. Now I've been using it once a week. I steam my face first for 30 seconds, then apply this. My pores feels so clean! Then I can extract some blackheads after. It will be easy to remove by then.

  9. Abegaill: I think it's similar to Glamglow in terms of claims and consistency, but not sure with the effects as I haven't used Glamglow's mud mask thoroughly to make a comparison. :)

Foodworldme: I saw a distributor in FB, but account is inactive now. :p

Deedee: Oh, me too, dear. :p

Stacie: Great technique! :D Yes, I have a review on the No Sebum Powder. Just look for it in my Google search bar. :D

Simplyme: I got this for 500php only, but it's not available locally, sadly. :(

For your skin concern, I suggest that you do the classic skin routine: Cleanse, tone, moisturize. Use an alcohol- based toner to remove excess oil and to shrink pores (just make sure you're not allergic to anything with alcohol). Opt for oil- free or gel- based moisturizers to keep your skin hydrated sans the sticky, heavy feeling you'll get from cream- based moisturizers. Finally, scrub at least twice a week to get rid of sebum and dirt build- up. ;)

Evey: Glad to hear that! This makes me want to buy this again! :p
