THE VERDICT:

It's quite a sad time for the beauty industry and most especially, for Burt's Bees because their founder, Burt (real name, Burt Shavitz), has recently transcended the earth plane so this blog post that features one of the products that got me hooked on Burt's Bees will serve as my tribute to the man who taught us that Bees are friends and how to look good while doing good.
I think Burt's Bees has one of the best hand creams on earth because I feel they're generously made with the good stuff, thus they're effective. One of my fave Burt's Bees hand creams is Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream. I get battered hands all the time especially since I lift heavy weights, thus I get 'Lifter's Calluses' on the palms often; These calluses don't only feel ugly, but are also bad for the skin because my face always gets scratched by them! This super rich hand cream pampers, soothes, and softens those nasty calluses away, giving me soft, nourished, and happy hands, and oh, a happy, scratch- free face, too!

BURT'S BEES SHEA BUTTER HAND REPAIR CREAM IN DETAIL

Burt's most emollient hand cream to date features a base of Shea Butter and botanical mix of oils namely Macadamia, Sesame, Borage, Rosehip, and Sunflower for that ultimate hand revival.

Ingredients

FYI, Shea Butter is a natural fat and that's what makes it good for severely dry, dull, and dry hands.

BURT'S BEES SHEA BUTTER HAND REPAIR CREAM IN ACTION

This hand cream has a super, duper, ultra mega, rich consistency that resembles a night cream for very dry skin. It has a nutty, buttery scent (oh that read really yummy!) and settles onto the skin efficiently while leaving a healthy sheen, hint of fragrance, and a super moisturizing barrier. It's great for daily use, but given its consistency, I'd use it during night time only as the final step in my night time routine.

It instantly softens hands and I noticed that if used everyday even if it's just once a day, this hand cream makes the hands look healthier and less prone to calluses and dryness. If you have sensitive skin, do a patch test first especially since this product is loaded with oil extracts.

TIP: This product doubles as a wonderful cuticle cream as well!

Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream should be in your dresser if you've got battered hands due to daily tasks that require them to do hard work such as exercising or helping around the house; It can also be used as a preventive treatment for those who stay in air- conditioned places all day long.

Anyway, I have tried only 2 products from Burt Bees, the lip shimmer and peppermint bodywash. Both are really good:) This hand cream is quite interesting too! I love the fact on how it targets main hand concerns. Thanks for the review.

  2. It's really sad to hear about the news. But good thing he have shared with us lots of good things before he passed away. I am so inlove with Burt's Bees because it really delivers. I'm currently loving the tint balms. :) That hand cream looks superb. I'm also a fan of hand creams as I find my hands naturally rough. :/

  3. The goodness of shea butter plus all the other ingredients concocted with concern for the prospective users of Burt Bees make this a really good brand to try. Tested their lip balm and it doesn't fail to be effective.Sayang din and a great guy whose passion for bees is unequaled has already departed our world. And the existence of these insects may seem unimportant but they actually determine the state of our environment,I.e
Air quality quality.Hopefully some continue the philosophy of Mr. Burt so we not only become more concerned about our ecology but also get good products that do not compromise our health.

  6. I am not too fond of hand creams, unfortunately. When I suffer from dry or itchy palms, I just lather up lotion and that's it. This one from Burt's Bees though looks promising and effective. Come to think of it, there isn't any product from BB that isn't right? (^-^)
Rest in peace Mr. Burt Schavitz.

  7. I am no realizing the importance of hand creams. My Mama said your face may look young, but you can't hide it with your hands, so I never leave without a hand cream. I haven't tried this one yet, although I have used some Burt Bees products, and they all work good. I love their peppermint body wash and lip balms! :)

  8. Patricia: That's true! Aside from the neck, our hands are the first ones to reveal our true age! I'm a hand cream fanatic and I like moisturizing my neck so I think I'm exempted from this one haha!

Mommy Charm: If ever you become interested in hand creams in the future, BB should be on your list. :D

Pbhie: Agree. My only wish is that his successors continue his legacy.

Jeremy: You're welcome. Thanks for dropping by. :)

Abegaill: Yeah, it's a sad time for the beauty industry. Anyway, yes, they tinted lip balms are mighty good! :)
