THE VERDICT:

Stickiness--this thing that we despise in lip gloss? It's the same thing that makes lip gloss stick, thus it is important. But who wants sticky lips and hair glued to the puckers?

I've experienced with Michael Kors Lip Luster that you can make your gloss stick without that sticky feeling. Ladies, Michael Kors feels for us.

MICHAEL KORS LIP LUSTER IN SIREN IN DETAIL

Michael Kors Lip Luster features a high shine finish and comes in three shades: Siren, Icon, and Muse. It's part of the Michael Kors Beauty Collection that has launched in June of this year in the Philippines. Formula has a base of Shea Butter for lasting moisture.

Siren is part of the Sexy Collection. It comes in a square acrylic tube topped with a gold plated cap. It's simple yet chic.

It comes with a slightly small doe, precise foot applicator, making it ideal for those with slim or pursed lips.

MICHAEL KORS LIP LUSTER IN SIREN IN ACTION

Siren is a warm Fuchsia shade with blue glimmer; it will suit any skin tone just fine. It has a semi- translucent finish yet coverage can be built up. It features a mandarin scent, a scent that can be found in Michael Kors' fragrances. I like the modest shine that this lip gloss gives.

This lip gloss has a really wonderful formula: the surface is virtually non-sticky because of its glass- like texture, thus hair won't stick to your lips while the base has the right amount of stickiness for longer wear time. It's like getting the best of both worlds with this gloss. The mandarin scent is nice, although I prefer either a floral or vanilla fragrance.

Not really a lip gloss fan, but I think this is perhaps one of the lip glosses with the best formulas ever so if you're a die- hard gloss fan, you should check this out. I'm looking forward to more shades from Michael Kors' Lip Luster range, but for now, I'll enjoy this one!

  1. Wow

I might buy this one. This may go well with MAC Rebel since the shade is so similar. (Why MAC has to be so drying on the lips?!). Thanks for the review!

  2. I love the finish! It's not too glossy :) But I'm not a big fan of lip glosses since they don't stay on my lips well :)

    1. Me too, but this one has good staying power, surprisingly!

  3. Now this is one fancy lip gloss! But to be honest, I don't have any lip gloss in my small vanity dresser. In fact, I don't own ANY lip gloss. I never understood its purpose. It's sheer and does not stay on the lips that long. I mean, I struggle to keep lipstick on for a good 4 hours, let alone a lip gloss! But I see my sister use it. She puts it on the middle part of her lip and I must say, it really does make her lips fuller and juicer. (LOL at the juicer part. Haha!) Maybe I should try some but maybe on a more budget friendly brand. Thanks for this post! This has sparked my interest in trying out lip glosses. :D

    1. Yeah, same thoughts on lip gloss, but I guess it's just for some people, like lipstick and lip balm.

  4. That color looks good on you, Martha! Highly pigmented pala siya kahit lip gloss. Pero I'd still prefer going for matte lip products (I don't want to like I've just eaten a lot of oily food). I still think this is expensive for lip gloss but hey, it's Michael Kors.

  5. Oohh.. Not a fan of lip gloss since I hate it when my hair glues on my lips and they're sheer, not really pigmented.
But this one looks great, I'm curious about the texture, really. But yeah, the price is a little expensive for a lip gloss.. :/

  8. I think I've seen a similar color (color of gloss and color of shimmer) on another brand, so it's got to be a winning formula to be sufficiently tempting. I get that lip gloss has to have a certain level of stickiness, so I understand what you mean. Sticky but not too uncomfortable.

  9. Not a fan of lip gloss too. Lalo na ngayon na I have short hair, pag humangin kung saan saan napupunta ang hair. Anyway, the shade is really pretty and the formula is good. But it's way expensive for a lip gloss. :) Baka di ko rin gaanong magustuhan. I would rather buy the MK lipstick if I have the money. :)
