My fondness for broadway musicals was probably the biggest reason why I am itching-no, make that dying to go to New York. It's a a city that everyone dreams of visiting including I. Oh, what would I give to visit New York!

Well, I'm a little close to fulfilling that dream right now.

Today, I will muse about Maybelline's #NYFW kit. Maybelline is the makeup sponsor of NYFW and here are some of their picks that will help you achieve that runway- ready look.

Start with the perfect base. When you're busy and have no time to retouch, a mattifying powder will be your best friend like Maybelline White Superfresh Powder; it's a lightweight powder foundation that has Clean Touch Powder Technology that absorbs oil and sweat five times better than other powder foundation variants. Color Sensational is a wonderful lipstick line: It's got a wide range of colors, hues are inspired by runway events and don't look tacky at all, and very affordable. What's not to love? I think I'm going to love them even more because they just came up with a matte line called Bold Matte. Awesomesauce! I gotta try these soon!

Cream eyeshadow is a necessity in my life; it's heaven- sent most especially now that I barely have time to do a full- on makeup. I recently discovered that Color Tattoo, one of Maybelline's greatest products, just came up with Leather Cuir, a matte version of the first Color Tattoos. YAY! These are neutral shades that give eyes subtle impact; Tried 'em yesterday and it's the same long- wearing formula and it enhances my eyes in just a swipe.

Lastly, we have Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama 24-Hr. Gel Liner, a pigmented, lasting eyeliner. I've used this product way, way back when it was still in a frosted pot with a silver metal cap and I remembered how good it was. I like its former, vintage look, but this new look is just as good because it's smaller and more lightweight!
