THE VERDICT:

Aside from Red, I keep a handful of Pink lipsticks in my makeup stash because it's my second favorite lipstick color and the safest to wear at work, school, and practically anywhere.

I was elated when I learned that L'Oreal Color Riche, my favorite drugstore lipstick brand, released a collection of matte pink lipsticks called Velvet Pinks! I got my hands on everything and I'm going to swatch the entire collection today. If you're a Pink lover or simply looking for school and work- friendly shades for your skin tone, check out this collection!

L'OREAL COLOR RICHE VELVET PINKS LIPSTICK IN DETAIL

Velvet Pinks is L'Oreal Color Riche's latest matte lipstick collection; it features 7 beautiful pinks that cater to a variety of Filipina skin tone; Color Riche's matte collection features a velvety, moisturizing formula.

L-R: Nymphea, Fuchsia, Rose Lotus, Primrose, Camelia, Iris, Jasmine

What a lovely, and varied pink lipstick collection! What's best about this is there's a pink or each mood and skin type, and a majority are universal shades; what a well thought out collection!

L'OREAL COLOR RICHE VELVET PINKS LIPSTICK IN ACTION

 Camelia

A berry pink shade.

Camelia is great for medium to warm skin tones; it's a Pink that's not too light and not too dark, perfect for afternoon meetings or if you just want to make a bold (yet subtle) statement.

 Fuchsia

- a candy Pink shade.

Fuchsia is great for porcelain to fair skin tones; it looks neon in the tube, but nice to know that it's wearable after all.

 Iris

- a midtone semi- baby pink.

Iris is one of the universally- flattering shades in this collection; this particular shade is perfect for any college makeup look, eh?

 Jasmine

- a nude beige with a pink undertone.

Jasmine breaks the monotony of the collection with its nude hue, but still remains consistent as it has a slight pink undertone; it's a universal nude that won't wash out your skin tone!

 Nymphea

- a midtone, petal pink.

Nymphea is my favorite among this collection; it's another universal shade of this collection; fyi, this is the exact lipstick that Solenn Heussaff used in her wedding!

 Primrose

- a midtone pink.

Primrose is the third and last universal shade in this collection; it's your classic, daily pink lipstick!

 Rose Lotus

- a violet pink shade.

Rose Lotus is ideal for dark skin tones; it's a great night time color that looks chic than vampy.

Which Velvet Pink lipstick caught your eye?

  9. Wow! They all look good on you! But I got to say, I like Nymphea the best. It looks bright but not too bright, perfect for everyday use, even at work. It looks like it would be an "easy" shade to wear and would go well with so many eye looks.

  10. Most of the lipsticks that I have are in dark shades of red and mauve so I cannot wear those at school. Good thing, there are these loreal velvet pink lippies so I got 2 shades in jasmine and nymphea. I like it so much because I can wear it everyday at school and it looks simple and chic.
