FOTD: My Makeup Look For My Wedding

People on my Facebook feed are either getting married or having kids, and I’m like: Hey, it’s a sign. I’m probably next! :D

Over the years, I’ve been very practical; a grand wedding is still a dream for me and I believe I’ll have it one day, but my BF and I agreed that we’ll both settle for whatever is practical at the moment and that is a simple wedding, plus we both would rather spend for a house.

Speaking of practicality, I’m okay to do my makeup on my wedding day; DIY brides are becoming a thing nowadays and what better way to put my love for makeup to good use! I’ll share how I created this look with you.

BASE:

Kat Von D Lock It Liquid Foundation (Medium 53)
L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer (Pure Beige)
MAC Blush (Harmony)
Les Merveilleuses Laduree Cheek Color (9)
Guerlain Meteorites (Clair/Light)

EYES:

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow (No Pressure)
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Liner (Black Ink)
Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara (Black)
Benefit Precisely My Brow Eye Brow Pencil (3)
Lash EM Color Strokes Brow Mascara (Raven)
Seowoo 3S False Eyelashes (Glamour)
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (Black)
LIPS:

Maybelline Color Sensational (Nude Nuance)

Yesiree, I only used a cream shadow for my eyes, but it’s no ordinary cream eyeshadow because Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in No Pressure has an amazing color: it gives that browned lids look that’s prominent in Hollywood Red Carpet and even gives the illusion that you’re wearing a gradient of colors. I just decorated my eyes with falsies from Seowoo 3S.

My inspiration for my wedding makeup is simply my usual look: fresh, warm, and flawless.

What do you think? Will you wear this look to your wedding?

  1. Hello Miss Martha! I saw your Nude Nuance review last week and I immediately bought it. It's my lipstick of the moment too! Thanks for giving me (us) wonderful recommendation as always! Its your blog where I discovered ellana minerals and it's been my HG foundation ever since.

  3. More people would opt for pink or peach lipstick on their wedding, but I would definitely wear something like Nude Nuance! It's a great MLBB color for me, which will be perfect for the smooches that might follow...hehehe kidding aside, I love this make up look! It would be great to wear as a bride, it's not too over the top, but not too simple. It draws enough attention to you without making you the only highlight for the day. After all, the focus of the wedding should be you and your partner's future together, looking hella good is only a bonus. I love it when brides sport really simple make up looks during their weddings (think Toni Gonzaga!!!) because it really highlights their natural beauty. :) This is also a great look for occasions where you need to look presentable! Thank you for this tutorial! :)

I can totally see myself doing this makeup because i like it to be simple look lang. Suggest ko sa sister ko to kasi she likes this kind of makeup, Maybe i'll go with pinkish lipstick lang hehe

  11. Ganda, as usual. I don't think I'll do my own makeup for my own wedding, though - it's something I think I'll splurge on! Takot akong magmukhang pangit sa kasal ko! :P
