Christmas is finally here! LOL! Okay, I'm exaggerating, but there's some truth to this, right, especially in the Philippines. Our Christmas starts as early as September and that is very evident in the growing number of Christmas lantern stalls I've been seeing in the streets lately!
Before we welcome the BER months, let's take a look at my favorites for the month of August 2016.
- Finally, an affordable Micellar Water! This all- around cleanser is not only good for the face, but for other simple cleaning solutions too; if you're curious as to what this product can do for you, no need to splurge finally!
- A lightweight, fast- absorbing moisturizer with an uplifting aquatic scent. This goes perfectly well with makeup!
- A classic translucent powder that sets makeup instantly and keeps skin matte but not flat.
- The hype is true about this foundation: it is incredibly long- wearing, yields amazing full coverage, and doesn't budge. Perfect for humid weather and oily skin!
- This shade from Maybelline's coveted lipstick collection perfectly captures the 90's brown. What a pretty, flattering shade!
Do share with me your beauty favorites for last month!

Would love to buy the Neutrogena moisturizer. I'm in search for a great moisturizer that is good for oily skin.
ReplyDeleteEeying that Estee. I do a couple of mountain hiking these past month and Daylong sunblock helps me not to get burned like my batch-mates (and now we all use it).
ReplyDeleteI want the Maybelline in Burgundy Blush!!!!! Waaaaa. Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to try Maybelline's Micellar water. Right now, I'm still using Bifesta, but only to remove eyeliner because it breaks me out. Nude Nuance is def a nice shade. I'm looking for it two weeks ago and it was sold out.
ReplyDeleteAs for Neutrogena, I'm a big fan of the brand. I'm currently using their Hydro Boost gel as my night moisturizer. ButI think I'll switch to the Fine Fairness line because my skin looks dull. Any suggestions what should I use to remove my dull skin?
Thank you, Ms. Martha!
Mine are Tony Moly Naturalth Goat Milk Moisture Toner and Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream
ReplyDeleteyay! amazing picks for the month of august! i am eyeing that micellar water from Maybelline!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh great picks! Looks like I'm gonna be doing a major Maybelline haul for christmas, their new releases are truly exceptional for a drugstore brand!!! :) I'm thinking about getting the Banila Co. Prime Primer, but compared to the Innisfree No Sebum powder, which one would you say is better for oily skin? :) My favorites for the month include Ever Bilena's lipstick in Dusky Rose, a very flattering rose brown comparable to Nude Nuance! I've also been loving Clinique's super fine brow liner, it's a gift from my mom and I've been using it sparingly because it's pretty dang expensive, but I always find myself reaching for this brow pencil when I want to make my brows look defined but not too HD. :) My Holika Holika Pro Enamel Voliptint has also been pretty abused because I love how it functions like a gloss and tint at the same time, being an oil-based one. Longevity is impressive and it fades evenly! My lips still have a youthful color even after 3 meals when I wear this! Muse Pink is the perfect pink for daily use! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybelline's Nude Nuance is love at first swatch plus! <3
ReplyDeleteI have been using my Maybelline creamy matte lipsticks (Clay Crush & Nude Nuance) non stop last month, and from the looks of it, it ain't slowing down! Lol! Bongga talaga yung lipsticks nila, bagay na bagay sa Filipina skin. Sa panaginip ko na lng matrtry yung foundation ng Estee Lauder, kasi alam kong bongga din ang price. Hopefully when I can afford to splurge on foundation, I'll be able to try it. ☺
ReplyDeleteThis August favorites are somewhat budget friendly, more on drugstores kasi, love it...
ReplyDeleteI also love Maybelline Creamy Mattes, stays long and so mabango

ReplyDeleteDNA SLIM
ReplyDeleteDNA SLIMTM marks a paradigm shift in the arena of weight management where conventional programs worldwide have so far focused on indicators such as BMI, BMR, BCA, and a Waist-to-Hip ratio. DNA SLIMTM goes a step beyond by factoring in the impact of one’s unique DNA in the weight loss process, for prescribing the most effective diet and exercise regime, keeping only you in mind.
Estee Lauder! A lot of people i know have been raving about it! I am looking forward to trying it in the future. As for my August favorites, Maybelline Creamy Matte lipsticks are still on the top list. I've also been using Laneige Cushion and I loooooove it! Other product favorites for last month are BDB brow gel, BYS Contour Trio and The Balm Mary-Lou manizer
ReplyDeleteI agree that Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation stays in place and beneficial for those who have oily skin. The only comment I have is that it's so hard to remove! I think I consume a lot of micellar water to ensure that no traces of this foundation remain on my face! :D Estee Lauder sure did a good job on this foundation! :)
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think of this post! :)
