Beauty Trends to Watch Out For this 2017

Yesterday, I've mused about the 2016 Beauty trends that we have to bid goodbye to; now, let's welcome these 2017 trends with open arms because they're trendy yet practical!

1. METALLIC LIPS

I used to loathe metallic lipstick; thinking about it now, it is because back then, colors were bad and finish was awful. Metallic Lipstick rises from the ashes this year and this time, colors are better and finish is much more refined and stylish.

2. GLITTER

Glitter will take centerstage this year as people are finally realizing how it can turn simple eye makeup looks from drab to fab in minutes. Best part is Glitter products now have better formulation and sparklier than ever!

3. MICROBLADING

As people get busier, Microblading will be an option for women who are juggling a lot of tasks and careers, and would rather spend more time at work than doing makeup.

4. SKIN- CARING MAKEUP

Makeup and Skin Care Integration will be a big concept this year. More and more women will be meticulous about what goes into their makeup and how it will benefit their skin more than their looks.

5. STROBING/HIGHLIGHTING

Strobing/Highlighting will be fully realized this year as women are now well- informed on how to highlight/strobe their features the right away. Highlighter, if you know how to use it, can be your friend and won't turn your face into a glowing oil ball.

What are the Beauty trends for 2017 that you know and are looking forward to? Share!

  1. I want the ombre lips trend that will be huge this 2017 according to Glamour and if I am not mistaken it's something like the laneige lipstick you talk about in your previous blog. And I love it so much.

  3. Before getting pregnant, to tell you honestly Miss Martha, di ako nag-iinvest for skincare, tamang hilamos lang ako ok na kas nga sobrang daming tasks na dapat iaccomplished when I was still studying and even nung nagwork na ko. But ewan ko medyo dumaan ako sa depression stage after manganak and feeling ko ag panget ko, ang dry ng skin ko, lumalabas ang mga acne so, that's when I decided to read blogs and be informed how proper skin care is important. Good skin also represents how healthy we are so it's good to invest in it. Aside from that, pag hindi ako ganun kabusy, I see it to also download tutorials about strobing/highlighting kasi I really have 0 knowledge about thus particular procedure. Too bad, di ko maappreciate talaga ang metallic shades. 😢😢😢

    1. The skin mirrors the condition of the body; that's one thing I've learned from dermatologists. It's best to take care of our overall health too while taking care of our skin. :)

  5. Natural brows rather than obviously bold drawn brows rules though, lately I got bored with floods of nude and brown lippie perhaps and hopefully that red and peaches prevail later this year.

  6. I've been particular with the makeup that I purchase and use. As influenced by Koreans, I now look for cosmetics and skin-care in one. ^-^
The highlighting part, yes I agree. Before, I thought I dont need it coz I get shiny and oily naman (lol) but I now know the difference when you highlight and not.
Thanks for these info Miss M!

  7. I've thinking of buying a glittery liquid eyeliner..to experiment or try a new makeup look. I saw it and looks great. Plus, I'm excited for my microblading session w/c I won on a giveaway promo. Makes my "kilay is life" easy for me. 😊

  8. Ohhh. That's why I am seeing micro blading offers in social media nowadays? Would you consider doing this personally? I think I won't ride into metallic lippies. They are too bold for me! I am excited about strobing and skin care makeup!! I think celeteque released a makeup line that we could purchase easy locally! :)
