Here's a review on Cathy Doll AA Automatic Aura Matte Powder Cushion and Cream in #23.

Finally, there's a Cushion Compact made for oily- skinned gals like me: Cathy Doll Automatic Aura AA Matte Powder Cushion and also, there's a cream. Also, Automatic Aura's bases boast of good coverage so perfect for you as well if you're covering up some boo- boos!
CATHY DOLL AUTOMATIC AURA AA CREAM IN DETAIL
This new base collection by Cathy Doll promises 9 benefits in one product: Auto Aura (brightening), Whitening (Vitamin C), Moisturizing (Collagen and Ceramide), Cooling, Concealing Coverage, SPF, Oil Control, Easy to use, and tone correction. The range comes in 3 shades: #21 Light Beige, #23 Natural Beige, and #25 Sand Beige. It also has anti- acne properties.
It's nice that these products comes in two forms: Liquid for the traditional ones and Cushion Compact (cream) for those who like it handy and trendy.

The cushion compact can be sold as a refill so you don't have to throw away the base; very environmental friendly. However, I do no know if they sell refills. The puff that comes with it is of high quality, something that's similar to Laneige's BB Cushion Compact puffs.

The cushion compact has SPF 50 PA++++ while the cream has SPF 45 PA++++. Props for high sun protection. Both products come in the same shade, #23 Natural Beige, but their undertones are different: Cushion Compact has a yellow tone while the Cream has a grayish tone. I'd personally settle for the Cushion Compact because even if #23 is quite fair on my skin tone, the yellow tone would make it easier to correct.
The products have a semi- rich emulsion texture with medium to full coverage and a dewy matte finish. The products have a Eucalyptus- like smell, however, something that doesn't sit well with a lot of people. The scent threw me off for a bit because it is a highly surprising choice of fragrance for a makeup product, but good thing I like Eucalyptus and the scent goes away after a couple of minutes.

The products have pretty good staying power: 3 hours max before oil begins to seep from my T-Zone. It didn't cake during wear, but if you have dry skin, you will need to moisturize to get rid of the dry feeling and prevent the coverage from caking. Nice to know as well that this product has anti- acne properties.
Now there's an option in BB and Cushion Compact products for people with oily skin. Thanks for this, Cathy Doll!

I remember that casette tape art that you mentioned the last time that can be used in flatlays and yeah it is. So cute!!! Now I finally accept my oily skin because my aunt that works from flawless before said that's it's better than a dry skin coz dry skin makes you age easily. Hihi. Plus tons of products were also made for our skin type with benefits pa ha not just 1 but 9. Great!
ReplyDeleteI also learned that our skin type evolves as we get older; those who were oily before can get dry skin afterwards so yeah, appreciate our oily skin while we still have it because it helps keep wrinkles at bay!
DeleteThis has been launched just last year I guess. The coverage is pretty good, yes you're right po. I have read a lot of reviews 'bout this, but I didn't know it has that Eucalyptus scent. Ayoko pa nang ganyang amoy, nahihilo ako swear! Hehe. But I am in love with the packaging as well.

DeleteWhat letter of the alphabet is next? Hehehe! I heard from a friend that this cushion is really great. So many cushions ate coming out..it's great that they are coming out that caters for oily skin..maybe nxt time they should opt for more yellow undertones.

DeleteTried some of cathydolls products and they're really nice and budget friendly too, I find their products true to what they describe.. I have a combination skin type, oily on my t-zone area and a bit dry with other parts of my face, I do think that these products will benefit women with oily skin.. from the look of it I prefer trying the matte powder cushion, I haven't tried this yet but I'm looking forward on trying this one since Cathydoll in of the brands I love and trusts..thanks for this very informative review and tutorial 👍❤️🙂 IG: @my_tseree

ReplyDeleteIf you have shade matching powders and contouring powders, you can correct. I have NC42 skin. My shade with L'Oreal pro matte is caramel beige :)
