The Benefits of Facial Oil

I could clearly remember how I got introduced to this magic skin potion called Facial Oil: about 3 or 4 years ago, I was sent a bottle of Kiehl's Midnight Recovery, one of the first facial oils ever released; it made my skin really nice, smooth, and rejuvenated. I knew that moment that facial oil is something that I had to include in my routine!

Years after, after bottles and bottles of facial oils from various brands, I'm still a fan because it still makes me say 'Wow!' to my skin.

Let me convince you why you should consider trying facial oils!

1. FACIAL OIL IS RICH IN BENEFITS

- And it's probably richer in benefits compared to most serums and treatments. Because most facial oils are a combination of individual oils, which, on their own, have a ton of benefits to begin with.

2. FACIAL OIL IS A VERY EFFECTIVE MOISTURIZER

- Oils form an occlusive, but non- offensive barrier that keeps all moisture in your skin intact and preserved longer.

3. FACIAL OIL IS GREAT FOR DRY SKIN

- Probably it's the best moisturizer for dry skin.

4. FACIAL OIL MAKES FOUNDATION BETTER

- You've seen makeup gurus putting a few drops of oil either on their face, foundation, or applicator; it's a technique that gives foundation some slip, making it appear smoother, more even, and helps it sit well on the skin; it's especially useful if you have dry skin.

5. FACIAL OIL IS GOOD FOR OILY SKIN TOO!

- I have combination oily/normal skin and I've never had problems with greasiness even if I used facial oil a lot. In fact, I think it helped control oiliness! It's a skin care fact that when skin feels dehydrated on the surface, it is forced to produce oil to balance moisture and protect it. Facial Oil, as long as they're made from natural oils that mimic natural skin oil and moisture, will moisturize skin properly, thus preventing it from producing icky excess sebum.

  3. Is argan oil considered as facial oil? I used it in my face for quite some time i just forgot the brand. I like it in my face as well it even lessen the bumps (pimples) on my face and it smells so good. It's just that it's expensive at 600+ for a small bottle. So i discontinued using the product but it's ao sad I wanna have it again.

  4. One of of the most important product in my skin care routine is facial oil too! I like it better than essence, i don't know why, maybe because I feel the benefits of the organic ingredients that my skin will say thank you to me. Haha! Before, I've been using the HHN oil, but now, I converted using the rosehip oil because I heard that it is good in removing pimple scars and will make your skin supple and rosy. :) What's your current favorite facial oil Ms. M? Is it okay to use 2 facial oil at the same time? Thank you!

PS. Will use it under my foundie, hope it will turn out good to me and will not look cakey. Hihi. :)

  6. I love my Human Nature Overnight Elixir! At first I was hesitant to use it but I was amazed that after massaging it to my face, it feels tightened (agad-agad!). I would love to try other facial oils but they are super expensive. Please recommend facial oils that are below 1000php. :)

  7. I've been seeing different kinds of oils online, Rosehip, Argan, Morrocan, sunflower etc. Among those I've tried only the Sunflower oil by Human Heart Nature, because it has lots of benefits/uses. I didn't know if it did bring great results on my skin particulary on my under eyes and other parts of my face because I didn't get to continue it for a long time. For me it's kinda sticky and heavy on the face. And I thought it would make my face oilier because I have an oily face and it's an oil as moisturizer. Now I know it's good for my skin, I'll just have to find put what kind of oil would best suits me.

  10. The only oil that I have tried is Sunflower Beauty oil. And yes, the effects are amazing although it smelled a bit funky. I have been hearing a lot of excellent reviews about Kiehl's and given the budget, I would love to try it and I'm sure I will love it too!
