 THE VERDICT:

Lululun claims that it's the #1 best- selling sheet mask in Japan selling over a total 100 million sheets since its launch; I've seen these masks in all of the drugstores and supermarkets I've been to when I visited Tokyo. Must be really good!

Lululun is now in the Philippines bringing with them their best- sellers. I've tried them recently and here's my verdict.

WHAT IS IT?

Lululun has an extensive mask collection and around 4 or 5 are made available in the Philippines. Here are the three: Precious (Red, for anti-aging), High Moisture (Violet, for dehydrated skin), and Moisture Type (Pink, daily moisture).

There's also the white one for whitening.

Lululun's sheet masks come in 7-day and 32- day packs.

Here are the benefits:

Pink- contains highly- moisturizing ingredients plus whitening actives
Violet- contains hyaluronic acid and citron extracts to deliver intense hydration
Red- mainly contains rice bran oil and rice ceramide to deliver anti- aging effects
White- contains Papain, hyaluronic acid, EGF, Arupuchin, Soybean extract, Polyglutamic Acid, and Lecithin to promote skin lightening, moisture, and effective cell turnover.

I read that the packs expire 80 days after opening so be sure that when you open one pack, you use it before the 80th day. If you're not a frequent mask user, you can use up the 32- pack within 60 days (2 months).

HOW IS IT? IS IT EFFECTIVE?

I've been using these masks for a month now, although not consecutively, like a week straight; compared to other masks, this one is very moisturizing- as in you really feel that your face is supple even the next day- and doesn't dry up quickly. One of my favorite mask brands is Leaders Insolution, but this is a bit expensive and I'm glad to report that Lululun's face masks can compare to Leaders, but at a cheaper price because of the packaging! If you're into sheet masks, this one is good to try not only because it comes in value packs, but also they're effective and rich in good ingredients.

  1. Usually when it comes to mask i really go to korean brands especially the mask from the face shop coz they are my fave but now that my face come to very dry stage im trying to look for more high moisturizing mask that will help to lessen the dryness. Now its good to know that japan has a good mask brand that will give u the benefits that u want. Im definitely gonna try this ms m thanks for new discovery.

  3. I wanna try it too! Sana magkaroon sa watsons :) Way back college days sobrang adik namin ng kapatid ko sa masks. As in every week naghohoard kami ng iba't ibang masks. Kahit from Japan at best seller sya, affordable pa rin yung mask. Ginto na kasi price ng ibang masks ngayon haha. Thank you for introducing us to this brand Ms. Martha! :)

  4. I'm a sheet mask addict po at sobrang napasaya ako sa blogpost mo na to. Haha. Haven't tried that brand Ms.M pero mukhang maganda nga plus ang mura pa. I love trying new brands ng sheet masks. I think meron din nagbebenta neto sa Shopee. Will check them out. Thank you for this Ms.M!

  5. Thank you for the honest review Ms.Martha. Agree ako sa paniniwala na kapag pricey and isang product mas effective. Mas maraming good benefits sa skin.

  6. I only use sheet mask once or twice o month and I only use korean mask. It's too difficult for me to do a night skin care cause I need to make my baby sleep.

  7. To be honest, I had 3 masks pero I gave all of them to my cousins. Sobrang takot kasi ako ate to try them kasi I have sensitive skin, baka magka pimple breakout ako. Pero I've been seeing a lot of my friends trying face masks, kaso di naman sila sensitive skin eh. I just want to ask ate, do u think these masks are safe to use for sensitive skin? Kaya pala I was also hesitant to use them is because when I searched the brand, wala akong makita na articles or reviews. Korean kasi. I have trust issues talaga when it comes to products that I'll put sa face, pero when it's coming from your reviews and blog entries, gusto ko lagi itry kasi (like what I'm always saying), I trust your reviews. Kaya ngayon I'm thinking of trying these masks kasi affordable naman sya unlike yung ibang face masks sa local counters na nakikita ko.

  12. Ive been into mask lately. And sadly, my sheet mask is now gone. Huhu need to repurchase again. I wanna try this one too. Especially tumatanda na tayo need to tale care of our skin na and mask is really effective one! The packaging reminds of the chocolate that I bought last new years eve as in mag kamukhang magkqmukha sila

  13. I haven't tried any Japanese sheet mask (though, I doubt cause I can't remember lol) but, I notice they are more practical and economical in a sense they pack their mask in bulk.

  14. I've only used one sheet mask from Korea once. Knowing that Japan sells good sheet masks too is really exciting! I hope I can try the Red one 'cause I think my skin's kinda aging up quickly these days. I'm starting to develop adult acne already! :( Hopefully they'll sell an anti acne sheet mask in the line soon! Thanks for this update! Always looking forward to more of your reviews po. :)
