THE VERDICT:

I think lip liner is one of the most underrated beauty products in the world, but has a lot of merits if one actually gives it a thought. Aside from keeping lipsticks from bleeding on the corners of the lips, it's the secret sauce to creating a super smooth and clean lipstick look. Thanks to Kylie Jenner and her world famous lip kits, lip liner has seen its much deserved spotlight again alongside its partner, the lipstick.

Kylie's lip kits have, of course, inspired other brands, from releasing their very own lip kits, lip duos, lip sets, and what have you, while others have come up with complementing lipsticks and lip liners like Ever Bilena and Kris Aquino's Matte Lip Liner and Matte Matic Lipstick, which I will review for you guys today.

Kris Aquino Matte Matic Lipstick is not new; it's part of her first wave of products that she made in collaboration with Ever Bilena. The lip liner though, I'm not so sure if it's a new release or a not-so-new one, but not as old as the lipsticks.

Anyway, there are five shades for the lip liner and lipstick. The lip liner is pretty much Ever Bilena's automatic lip liner and the lipstick, Matte Matic lipstick, but only with different tube design and limited edition colors.

Here are the swatches of the lipsticks and lip liners. The lip liner is very pigmented and is good enough to be a lipstick!

3 of the shades here can also be found in Ever Bilena X Kris Aquino Matte Liquid Lipstick, which I reviewed HERE previously. However, I don't find the shades from both lipstick collections to be consistent in terms of hue even if the names are similar.

The lip liner is a creamy, pigmented, smooth lip liner with zero drag, consistent application, and moisturizing texture; I also like that the lip liners feel sturdy and not wobbly on the base; no one likes a broken lip liner.

Laugh is a magenta shade; it's a very pretty color and becoming trendy again nowadays.

Learn is a terracotta brown shade; another pretty color and is my favorite next to Laugh. There's something so 3CE-ish about this shade and it's perfect for you if you're into the vintage lip trend.

Ever Bilena X Kris Aquino Matte Lip Liner and Matte Lipstick Let Go

Let Go is a deep wine shade with a reddish undertone. A classic wine shade that will always be one of the best choices for a night out.

Ever Bilena X Kris Aquino Matte Lip Liner and Matte Lipstick Lucky

Lucky is a deep rose with a brown undertone; a great everyday shade, especially for those with deep skin tones.

Ever Bilena X Kris Aquino Matte Lip Liner and Matte Lipstick Loyal review

Loyal is a mauve rose that reminds me of Sunnies Face Fluff Matte in Mood. Just like Lucky, it's significantly different from the same shade from the matte liquid lipstick collection.

The lipsticks have great quality and colors; I love that they're predominantly warm because it flatters my morena skin and the Filipinas' naturally yellow undertone, although next time, maybe they will release something new? Not just new shades, but a completely different product under the collaboration; maybe an eyeshadow palette, concealers, and foundation among other things because there's enough lipstick in the collection already.

To summarize, if you want an affordable moisturizing, super pigmented lipstick and lip liner, go for these. If you're a Tita Krissy fan (or you're just a tita Krissy at heart), then I definitely recommend these.
