THE VERDICT:
The last time I featured Snoe on my blog was in 2016; it's been a while and I've discovered lately that the brand has come up with a lot of interesting products since! One of which is What's Up Brow Brow Embroidery, a pretty cool brow product that I've been using lately. How does it fare? Let's find out.
Ingredients |
Snoe What's Up Brow Brow Embroidery is a liquid brow pen with Sympeptide, an ingredient that promotes hair growth, length, and density; it promises to stay for up to 24 hours; the product comes in three shades: Ochre, Khaki, and Rust.
What's Up Brow is inspired by brow embroidery, a popular beauty treatment in the Philippines as of late; it's basically a modern, more 3D, and virtually painless version of the brow tattoo.
The packaging is adorned with pretty embroidery imagery; kudos Snoe for the effort on the packaging.
The applicator is a fork tip, which is what brow embroidery- inspired pens always have to deliver hair- like strokes, like Maybelline's Tattoo Ink Brow Pen.
If you're wondering why they're uneven and why the heck they didn't go for even tips in the first place, it's because the longer tip doubles as a liner for the brows to help you map and create borders for a cleaner look.
Currently, there are three shades:
Ochre- hazelnut brown with a red undertone
Rust- reddish brown
Khaki- midtone brown with a taupe undertone
What's Up Brow Embroidery consistency is liquid; it starts of sheer and intensity builds up as you layer the product, but it can only look intense at some point because it's meant to look hair- like; it won't be as pigmented as brow pomades and brow pencils.
Bare brow |
With Snoe What's Up Brow in Ochre |
I use Ochre most of the time because it complements my golden ash brown hair.
What's Up Brow Embroidery is fairly easy to use; the runny consistency of the product glides easily through the applicator and sets on the skin instead of the hair strands. It sets fairly quickly and the best way to layer it on is to allow one layer to dry first before putting another because it has a tendency to erase itself and flatten brows; comb lightly with a spoolie to distribute the product and so you won't erase it.
Staying power is pretty great; it can withstand heat, humidity, and sebum, and water, but saltwater, not so much.
As for Sympeptide's effects, I haven't observed any hair growth yet and I've been using it for a month now.
This product is pretty cool and I appreciate the fact that it has a skin care ingredient that conveniently helps hair grow. Pretty expensive for a brow embroidery product considering Maybelline is at P399, but if you're willing to pay an extra for the skin care ingredient and fancy packaging, by all means, go ahead. If I experience hair growth down the line, I'd surely repurchase; if not, I'd go to Maybelline because it works the same anyway.
Have you tried this product already? What are your thoughts?
