THE VERDICT:

If you recall, sometime in November of last year, Colourette has released a limited edition multi-purpose product called Velvetint. It came in teeny tiny tubes and in three shades only: Birthday Cake, RSVP, and Rose. It immediately became a crowd favorite because of its velvety, easy to blend formula.

Colourette decided to bring back Velvetint this year and as part of their permanent line so velvet matte lovers, rejoice because Birthday Cake, Rose, and RSVP are back together with 9 new shades; get ready for a velvet color party!

Colourette Velvetints are velvet to powder matte, multi- purpose tints for the cheeks, lips, and eyes. You can layer it on the lips to create a lipstick effect or dab it on for a tint effect, blend on the cheeks for a blushing finish, smudge on the lids for a soft wash of colors; it comes in 12 shades.

Previously, Velvetint came in a much smaller tube. This time, it's in a regular liquid lipstick- sized tube.

However, there are a couple of packaging issues that I ran into. For one the oil compound is seeping from the inside and gradually spills to the outer portion of the tube; this is the case with some tubes.

Just in case you can't see the oil residue on the black- colored applicator on the outer portion, here's a finger with some residue that I swiped on the mouth of the tube.

Also, frailty issues with one packaging, which is sadly Plus One, my favorite shade.

Colourette has had issues with their packaging over the last few months, as I've seen in posts online, including this one. I've also been seeing that the company is trying to fix the problem, but looks like they have to look either harder for a new and better supplier or a completely new one if they're still with their current.

- A dirty rose with brown undertone.

- Deep, rosy red.

RSVP

- midtone rose with red undertone.

- Warm, midtone rose with a hint of nude.

BIRTHDAY CAKE

- Warm, nutty brown.

BUBBLY

- Soft coral.

SOIREE

- Midtone pink with rose undertone.

DEBUTANTE

- Berry mauve with rose undertone
