About 4 years back, I did a round- up of the best toners for oily and troubled skin. Figured that it's time to update that list now so here's my 2019 list which will address all your oily and troubled skin concerns from oiliness, acne, dark spots, and dryness caused by anti- acne medication. Enjoy!
- CosRX AC Collection is their anti- acne skin care range. Released just last year, this range features two toners: Calming Liquid Intensive is for moderate to heavy breakouts and Calming Liquid Mild is for light to moderate breakouts. The range utilizes Salicylic Acid, Zinc Oxide, and Madecassic Acid as the main acne- fighting ingredients.
2. PIXI GLOW TONIC (P1,050-100ml; P1,950- P250ml)
- Pixi Glow Tonic is a famous acid- based toner. This exfoliating, resurfacing, brightening toner has indirect anti-acne properties because Glycolic Acid, a form of AHA, helps skin turnover faster, therefore promotes faster healing and absorption and utilization of anti-acne skin care products.
- One Step Clear Pad is one of the more famous products of CosRX. This product features Betaine Salicylate, a mild form of BHA, which has good anti-bacterial and resurfacing properties; best for those who find Salicylic Acid too heavy.
- Calendula is a known anti-inflammation, anti-irritant, and anti-redness ingredient, which makes it great for fresh, painful, throbbing zits. It also helps regulate sebum production and Kiehl's Calendula Toner is one of the famous Calendula toners out there.
- Kojie San Cleanser + Toner is an affordable toner that helps minimize sebum on the surface and thoroughly cleans pores too for skin that's prone to pore clogging.
6. ESKINOL PIMPLE FIGHTING FACIAL DEEP CLEANSER (P89.00)
- I have recently rekindled my love for Eskinol's Pimple Fighting Cleanser! It doesn't sting as much as other alcohol- laden products and it's one of my maintenance products for daytime. It contains Salicylic Acid, a known anti-acne ingredient.
7. ETUDE HOUSE WONDER PORE TONER (250ml- P548.00; 500ml- P898.00)
- Wonder Pore Toner/Freshner is one of the famous products of Etude House. This toner is sting- free, alcohol- free, and help clear up excess debris that are deep within pores and can lead to future breakouts. Helps minimize the look of enlarged pores too!
8. PIXI ROSE TONIC (250ml-P890)
- Rose is a good anti-inflammatory ingredient and its hydrating properties help counteract the drying effect of anti-acne ingredients such as acids, tretinoin, and benzoyl peroxide to name a few. Pixi's Rose Tonic is one of my favorite and I use this right after using an acid or alcohol- based toner.
9. SKIN LIFE MEDICATED ACNE CARE TONER (P450.00)
- SkinLife Medicated Acne series is a straightforward collection that features a wash, cream, and toner. SkinLife Medicated Acne Toner is non- sting, alcohol- free, and perfect for those with sensitive skin. It gently zaps pimples and clears skin in about a month with consistent day and night, everyday use.
10. KIEHL'S CLEARLY CORRECTIVE BRIGHTENING AND SOOTHING TREATMENT WATER (P2,000+)
- Clearly Corrective Toner is a soothing toner with powerful brightening properties. The toner contains Salicylic Acid that helps resurface skin and brightening extracts namely Licorice, Activated C, and White Birch extracts to reduce the appearance of pigmentation.

ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to acne, I heard a lot of pixi toner/ pixi glow at youtube channel..i just thank God i frequently have pimples..i only use Garnier the blue one as a toner..but i want to try pixi glow too
