Pond's Cleansing Balm Review: Game Changer in the affordable skin care category!

THE VERDICT:

Last week, Pond's dropped a new skin care product that made a lot of jaws drop because they released a new makeup remover that's pretty much a game changer in the affordable skin care category: POND'S CLEANSING BALM. Cleansing balms are pretty much a K-Beauty staple and in my opinion, it's one of the most economical, easiest to use type of oil makeup remover that's why I love it; however, most brands that offer it are pretty much up there in the price spectrum; for an affordable skin care brand like Pond's to release it is a dream come true for budget beauties and a relief for thrifty pants like me; it's a message that K-Beauty is not going away anytime soon and Pond's is always innovating, always offering affordable options to cater to the ever- changing beauty needs of their market.

I'm here to tell you that this is automatically one of my most favorite Pond's products because it's it's effective even with just a small amount and it's a good dupe for one of my favorite cleansing balms, Banila Co. Clean It Zero!

Pond's Cleansing Balm is a melting oil- type makeup remover that comes in 2 sizes; suitable for all skin types and developed in Pond's Institute Japan. 

I love that it comes with a spatula and cover/plate for the applicator with a thoughtful addition of a tongue lever for easier opening.

The balm is nice, soft, fragrant (smells like milky rose), and melts upon skin contact for easier spreading; what I like about it is it spreads easily without dripping and the melting texture. Sometimes, I find this a bit easier to break and spread than Banila Co Clean It Zero.

With just a 5 peso- sized amount, I was able to get rid of an entire day's worth of makeup with very little trace left. This makes for a great first step in a double- cleansing routine because it develops into a milky cleanser when it comes into contact with water, giving it a mild washing effect.

This cleansing balm can remove even the toughest makeup, but I don't really use it on my eyes because it stings for a little.

I'm very happy that Pond's came out with this product; I love cleansing balm, but price can be a little steep sometimes for something that I use on a daily basis so HALLELUJAH and HURRAH for this; will surely repurchase and I highly recommend!
