Mark my words. Makeup setting spray will be the next big thing next year. Because this mandatory face mask usage and threat of the virus that I think will linger until late next year, people will yearn for long lasting, virtually transfer- proof makeup that will keep makeup intact and face masks, somewhat clean.

Ever since theatre days, I've already been a huge fan of makeup setting sprays because the concept of hydrating and putting a 'film' on top of makeup really works in making it long- lasting; if it helps makeup withstand harsh conditions, what more plain daily wear? That's why I love setting sprays!

One makeup setting spray that I'm loving lately is the new EB Advance Lock That Look Makeup Setting Spray; it has a hydrating feel, helps makeup last long and most of all, it's affordable!

Ingredients

EB Advance Lock That Look Makeup Setting Spray promises long- lasting makeup with ingredients that keep it in place and a hydrating formula that helps remove the powdery, caky look of makeup for a natural look.

Formula is a watery consistency, but it feels like water with a moisturizing, slightly weighted after- feel because of the hydrating ingredients in it. It has a mild floral scent. No stinging sensation whatsoever, but it does sting when it hits the eyes so make sure you position it 2-3cm away from your face and close your eyes before spritzing.

At first, the setting spray helps tone down the powder look of makeup, which makes it a great partner for matte, full coverage foundations; 2 minutes after application, you will begin to see that your makeup starts looking dewy and more natural.

So I've tested this one in a video campaign shoot that I did a week ago. I left the house 10am, filmed all the way until 2PM, went to Greenbelt to begin my Christmas gift shopping, had dinner at 8PM, and I was home by 10pm; I did not retouch during that time and save for a little fading of makeup on my mouth and jaw areas (which were covered by mask the entire day), the rest of my makeup was still intact and looked impressively okay despite not retouching for 12 hours. There was some makeup transfer on my face mask, but it wasn't a lot and didn't look too dirty.

For P195, it's a very good buy. I've been using this everyday if I have to go out with makeup on. I definitely recommend this if you have oily skin and if you want to minimize makeup transfer and meltdown due to all- day face mask usage!
