Face Sunscreens with zero white cast that I have tried

Daytime here in the south of Manila has been pretty grueling. It's like I'm in an oven from 10am to 4pm and it's so humid and muggy that our electric fans are warming us up more instead of cooling us because it's spewing hot air.

That, plus the sun here has been shining mightily and it has been like this since March. I am not a huge fan of rainy days, but dang, I just wish it would finally come soon.

One of the biggest topics on THE BEAUTY JUNKEES UNITE (this is my beauty group on Facebook. Join us and let's discuss your beauty concerns and questions!) for the last two months is sunscreen and the most common question is:

WHICH FACE SUNSCREEN DO YOU RECOMMEND THAT HAS ZERO WHITE CAST?

Here are my top recommendations:

1. SUNPLAY SKIN AQUA UV WATERY ESSENCE

- I got a sachet sample of this from one of the press kits I got and from what I remember, this is like Biore UV Watery Essence. Unlike Biore, this has no fragrance so perfect for those who are sensitive to this ingredient. It is lightweight, fresh, has a watery effect on the skin, and most importantly, NO WHITE CAST!

 

2. MARIO BADESCU OIL FREE MOISTURIZER SPF 30

- I had a phase when I went for multitasking products because I had a lazy phase in skin care so I went for moisturizers + sunscreen. One of my favorites was Mario Badescu's Oil- Free Moisturizer because it has a nice green floral scent, very moisturizing (a little goes a long way!), and has broad spectrum SPF 30 to boot. It's not heavy on the face too.

3. BIORE UV WATERY ESSENCE

- My most favorite lightweight, white cast- free, gel sunscreen! And I think it's a favorite of a lot of the TBJ Beshies!

Biore UV Watery Gel is light, perfect for usage under makeup, and has a citrus fragrance that's very uplifting. Been a user since 2017!

4. NEUTROGENA ULTRA SHEER

- I have discovered this business around late 2019 and I was kicking myself in the bum for not discovering it sooner. This is a very light chemical sunscreen that's perfect for city wear, specifically if your job requires you to commute a lot of be outdoors a lot because it is very light plus has a moisturizing factor to boot, which makes me think that this is perfect for those with moderately dry skin types.

5. ANESSA PERFECT UV SUNSCREEN SKIN CARE MILK

- I have discovered this through a sample last year and I'm in love! It's like my favorite Shiseido UV Perfector, but cheaper. It's light, non- greasy, and perfect for oily skin too because it's not heavy and I don't feel it running off my face nor eroding my makeup during wear. I'm looking at buying a full- sized one after using up my Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor Sunscreen and Moisturizer.
