THE VERDICT:
A good portion of my childhood was spent transferring houses because we used to rent until I was 19, when my mom was finally able to purchase our very own home. Every rented home has it's very own landlady and in one particular house where I spent my high school years, there was this one landlady who liked slathering a turquoise clay mask every night. She was nice and sweet, but when rent is due, she could be, well, tough. But I really liked her clay mask. I learned that it was St. Ives' Firming Clay Mask (#Throwback).
And those were the moments when things felt uncertain and temporary, but what remained was my desire to be more and to have the things that I have now (well at least some of it). Our rent life was a pretty cool time and if there's anything important that I have gotten from it, it's the patience for packing.
I'm reminiscing these as I pamper myself with Ole Henriksen's Cold Pore Plunge Mask, which is a pleasant discovery, btw. Because it's great for tired, oily skin and a savior during warm days because of its cooling effect; plus it's got that nostalgic landlady blue color.

Cold Pore Plunge Mask, according to Henriksen, is inspired by timeless Scandinavian skin care rituals that involved a cold clay mask; it has BHA, AHA, and antioxidants that help unclog, purify, clean, and exfoliate the skin.
The clay mask comes in convenient tube packaging, which makes for an easy, mess- free usage. The mask has a nice, minty scent and tingling feel. The tingling feel is so refreshing, but not the stinging kind; I like that it feels like I have a sheet of cool ice on my face when I put it on.
Another reason why I love it is it reduces oil, calms, cools, and relaxes my skin, and doesn't have that irritating, rock solid finish. It's very easy to rinse out and leaves my skin feeling clean and very refreshed. Basically, it's spa in a tube.
It's a little expensive for a clay mask especially since there are a lot of good and affordable ones out there, but if you're willing to splurge on a clay mask, especially one that has an exfoliating effect to boot (thanks, acids), then I highly recommend this.
