THE VERDICT:
Listen, if you're a fan of Dior's famous Lip Glow Lip Balm and you can't find a shade that you like, try Nars Afterglow Lip Balm, which pretty much works like the same thing and I'm guessing, this is much cheaper. If you want petal- pretty, ultra supple, radiant lips, grab this.
Nars Afterglow Lip Balm saturates lips with glowing moisture and keeps it soft, juicy, and hydrated for hours. It has Monoi Oil that conditions and helps give intense, lasting hydration. Fragrance- free and alcohol- free, and comes in 8 shades.
The most popular shade is Orgasm, which is inspired by Nars's most popular blush shade of all time.
The product comes in sleek, metallic tube that mirrors the shade of the lip balm. Pretty cute.
One layer of Tender years
I've received this product as part of a PR package; however, I did not see Tender Years as part of the shade selection in any of the official retailers's website. It must be pulled out already or available only in physical stores. In any case, I recommend you to check because this shade is a dupe for Dior Lip Glow 007 in Raspberry, which is my most favorite Dior Lip Glow shade.
Tender Years is a pink hue that starts off light and the shade eventually deepens, depending on the natural lip color of the wearer. On me, it ends up a warm pink shade and it complements my skin tone really well.
As for its benefits, it conditions lips upon contact, giving it a soft, juicy look and feel. It doesn't feel thick nor heavy, and hydrates and moisturizes the lips for hours. However, it isn't the best to wear under a face mask because it's moist and will naturally rub off on any surface that sticks on it that's why I mostly wear this at home and during online meetings.
In terms of moisturizing and hydrating benefits, it's pretty much the same as Dior Lip Glow, except that the latter leaves a nice tint on the lips even after it comes off.
I'm still in love with Dior Lip Glow, but I don't mind using this as an alternative since I'm already running out of the former. I love Tender Years and I hope the shade is still available, but if not, I think I'll go for Dolce Vita!
