THE VERDICT:
Drunk Elephant is now in the Philippines and I'm one happy camper. I first encountered Drunk Elephant through various international beauty vloggers and what got me so hooked was the super fun and colorful packaging (packaging suck3r here!). I only got to try it in 2019, 6 years after it was founded by Tiffany Masterson, when I went to the US for a vacation and it was the first thing that I looked for and purchased in Sephora. The first Drunk Elephant product that I have tried is Framboos Serum, which I loved to bits because it helped me so much with my breakouts and it doubles as a spot treatment too.
Protini is one of their best- selling skin care collections and when Drunk Elephant launched in the Philippines and gave me a cool set of best- sellers to try, this is the first one that I tried! A lot love the Protini Serum and Cream for its amazing smoothing and skin- reviving benefits and after using it for a little over a month, I would say that this has helped me get my glow and bounce back!

The moisturizer has a gel cream texture; just slightly thicker than say, Asian moisturizers. A lot are saying that it's ideal for dry skin; yes it is, but I have oily skin and I didn't have any problem using it though I have to mention that I only use it during night time since it's slightly thicker.
The serum has a watery consistency; it's perhaps the most runny serum I've encountered so be sure to squeeze on your palm so you can catch the product and avoid wastage.
Both products are fragrance- free.
PRO TIP: Squeeze out moisturizer and pump the serum on top of the moisturizer and mix for easier, quicker usage; use the flat surface of the moisturizer as a mixing plate.
Here's my skin a little over a month after using Drunk Elephant Protini serum and moisturizer. Prior to taking this photo, my skin looked very dull, looked rough, and had this spotty cast, which I believe was due to unevenness.
After using my Protini duo for quite some time, my skin looked more even and what's worth noting is that it looked very smooth and plump. Now that I remember, I would always say in my recent skin care reviews that my skin looks more even and I get that kinda' sounds BS at this point LOL, but to differentiate, the clarifying/even skin effect that I talked about in my previous skin care reviews was more towards surface pigmentation aka post- acne marks and redness, but mostly acne marks. With Protini, post- acne marks were minimized along with roughness and my face now seems to be radiant and clearer all over-it's like I've had a deep glow-ifying treament with Protini! Not only that, my skin looked pretty bouncy too. In fact, during my usage, one follower on Tiktok commented and said that my skin looked really nice and healthy. Thanks, Protini!
P.S. I love using the cream on my neck. Made it feel so smooth!
I'd like to note that my hyperpigmentation and dullness problem before usage wasn't severe and Protini has sufficed. Protini contains Lactic Acid, a gentle AHA that's more known for improving texture and improving collagen production in the skin. If you have heavier skin discolorations and post- acne marks to treat, I suggest check out Framboos Serum or C-Firma Vitamin C range by Drunk Elephant.
Protini is great for those who have mild aging concerns such as roughness, mild dullness, and moderate hyperpigmentation. Great for those who get rough skin all the time because of the skin's slow turnover ability.
