Restore Sight, Restore Hope: L'Occitane's Get Onboard For Sight hand and body soaps for ORBIS

Did you know that 80% of blindness is preventable? And yet 280 million people are visually impaired and suffering eye- related diseases. Why? Because most communities, especially the underserved ones, have no access to proper medical facilities, eye medication, and education.

To put an end to preventable blindness, leading aromatherapy and body care brand L'Occitane has partnered with ORBIS, a foundation dedicated to helping communities plagued with preventable eye diseases. For 11 years, L'Occitane has been lending a helping hand to ORBIS to help fund their noble cause.

This year, L'Occitane has come up with the GET ONBOARD FOR SIGHT SOAPS, an artisanal collection of hand and body soaps inspired by ORBIS' Flying Eye Hospital.

What is the ORBIS FLYING EYE HOSPITAL? Click READ MORE to learn more about this cause.

The Orbis Flying Eye Hospital is probably one of the greatest concepts and projects I've ever known. It is a jumbo jet converted into an eye hospital, complete with beds, ophtalmologists, surgeons, and hospital equipment. The Flying Eye Hospital travels all over the world to conduct free eye check ups, treatments, and surgeries, while educating various underserved communities about eye disease prevention at the same time.

The Get Onboard For Sight soaps come in two variants: The Pink soap has playful and romantic mix of grape, white rose, and blackcurrant, while the Blue soap is a zesty and fresh blend of verbena, lemon, and grapefruit. Both soaps are made with the goodness of natural Shea Butter, a signature product of L'Occitane. Shea Butter is an effective moisturizer because it has superb humectant properties and apart from that, it is also a known anti- inflammatory product.

Proceeds from the sales of the Get Onboard For Sight soaps will go to the Orbis Foundation.

Taking care of yourself has never been this good and changing the world has never been this easy. Buy any of these soaps, and help bring back hope to a lot of impoverished communities. Sharing is caring, and sharing is beautiful.

  3. As I was reading about Orbis, naisip ko din ang Logos Hope. If Orbis is about helping peoples' eyes, Logos Hope naman is reaching out to those people who wanted to learn more through buying their books at low costs. It's good to hear that there are people who are going the extra mile to help others when they can just sit back and relax. I was a bit amazed with the sight soaps though. It was the first time I heard of these and they really look awesome. Not to mention the plane inspired soaps...parang ang sarap ngatngatin. hahaha! Thanks for the info....mom needs to know about these soaps! hehe. Ill let her read this article. She will be equally amazed about this.
