So many things can turn into a hassle when you’re busy juggling so many things on a daily schedule. It always feels like there isn’t enough time to do everything because of so many other factors like traffic, transportation issues, and unfortunate obstacles. Puregold Price Club Inc. thought ahead and wanted to help by creating a more convenient way to get important grocery shopping done. 

Puregold just launched PUREGOLD MOBILE, in collaboration with Globe Telecom,  with a goal to offer convenient cart-less grocery shopping. It is also known as SALLY, to stand for “shopping ally.” The application allows customers to skip long lines and pick up their groceries right away. 

Through the application shoppers can scan the barcode of items or go through the in-house inventory of products in the app itself. After placing an order, the customer can choose what time and where to pick up their groceries( from the nearest outlet as noted in the app). Those who are ordering have to meet the minimum of P1000.00 transaction to be able to use the service. 

Once they get in the store, they just have to go to a dedicated lane for PUREGOLD MOBILE customers, show their SMS or in-app confirmation message, and pick up their order.

Right now they’re focusing on in-store pick ups, but a delivery service may be added later on. They currently have 10 locations that are accessible via the app, but they are planning on expanding to 100 locations in the future.

The app is safe as all the details are encrypted in the system. This is an important feature since the purchases can also be paid via credit or debit card, apart from the cash-on-delivery feature. Payment via G-Cash is also accepted as well. Also, the app also features English and Tagalog customer support for those who have inquiries. Think of it like a Siri but, in this case, it’s SALLY. 

This is perfect for people who are always on the go, have a business, are busy taking care of their children, or are too busy to make a trip. You don’t just save, you also save the hassle of going around a grocery to find what you need. Since PUREGOLD MOBILE will do it for you, all you need to do is show up on time. Additionally, I like how the app has a history of what you’ve already purchased before. This makes it easier to buy it again without going through the whole inventory again.

Apart from the benefits the app provides customers, it also opens additional employment opportunities as well. This is because once your order is placed there are specific employees who will be your “personal shopper” and gather everything on your list for pick up. 

The PUREGOLD MOBILE app is powered by Globe Telecom and is already available for download. It is available from Google Play for Android users and the App Store for iOS users.
