Be Your Own Wedding Planner

In one of my bonding sessions with friends, we’ve discussed why a lot of couples would want to get married and have kids this 2012. It is because the Year of the Dragon is considered as a blessed year for all signs, yet an unlucky one for those born in the year of the Dragon. Well, luck is just a state of mind. You can choose to be lucky or not, right?

Since we’re talking about marriage and weddings, I think people and couples alike should visit a wedding fair. It gives you a ton of ideas on what to do in one of the grandest days of your life. Or if you have no plans of tying the knot yet, you can visit one to at least be inspired in any way. I’ve been to one last year with my BF. And even if marriage is still way beyond our goals, we had a great time gazing at tons of beautiful gowns and brilliant photography and videography. I had absorbed lots of cool ideas on what to do on my grand day, and I think I won’t be needing a wedding planner anymore. Come to think of it, if you plan your own wedding, you’ll be able to save a huge amount of money—money that you can use to spend on more food and more stuff on your Honeymoon!

And hey, there's a bridal fair happening this February! :D

One of the biggest wedding and debut fairs of the country, WEDDINGS AND DEBUTS 2012 BRIDAL FAIR will be holding their much- awaited annual fair at SM Megamall this coming February. Apart from weddings, the fair also caters to debuts. Instead of stressing yourself on how you want your wedding or debut to look like, visit the fair and let your creative juices flowing by means of various inspirations.

Here are some of the things to expect at the Weddings and Debuts 2012 Bridal Fair:

Edd Sy, a renowned local designer, will be showcasing his talent in the art of fashion design through his gowns. He’s no stranger to the wedding industry, as he has designed a lot of bridal gowns for a handful of Television shows and movies, and even real- life weddings.

Juan Carlo The Caterer, considered as the “Caterer to the Stars”, will also join the fair. JCTC has an impressive list of clientele under its belt. It has recently catered to the celebrity weddings of Rich Alvarez and Kyla, and Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez to name a few.

JCTC was also the caterer during the press con. Now I know why they were given such a title.

Nice Print Photography, a business born out of passion for photos, will also be joining the fair. Some of its latest clients are John Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles, Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez, and Rich Alvarez and Kyla.

Blogger Krissy of Krissyfied.

Now with blogger Kaiye. We were all wondering: “Uhm, do you have a PICK YOUR HUSBAND booth at the fair?" Haha!

Major Sponsors of the fair, WADBF organizer, Ms. Winnie, and the faces of this year’s fair, Maja Salvador and Angelo Cacciatore

SAVE THE DATE: Weddings and Debuts 2012 Bridal Fair is happening on the following dates: February 17, 18, and 19 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Halls 1, 2, and 3.

  7. The first and last time I went to a bridal fair, I was with my HS bestfriend and we didn't know there's food at those kinds of events. We ended up really full and bloated when we went home.

I'm not much of a wedding person but it was fun. I was so happy to see my bestfriend enjoying herself.
