THE VERDICT:
When Innisfree announced the launch of their My Concealer range, I was pretty keen on trying it out because I'm a fan of their My Foundation range just because I have a found a K-Beauty brand that caters genuinely to morenas by providing foundation and powder shades that are fit for our skin tone; that's a big thing for me because for so long, I've always had to settle with whatever "dark" shades K-Beauty brands are offering; not anymore with Innisfree.
After trying out My Concealer for a few days, I could say that this is now one of my favorite concealers because it has a second- skin look that covers effectively (even heavy discolorations!), blurs line for a smooth look, and hydrates the whole day, plus it's very long- lasting too!
Innisfree My Concealer is a range of corrector, concealer, and face concealer.
Spot Cover is a cream concealer that is meant for facial concealing.
Dark Circle Cover is a liquid corrector range that features two shades: Salmon Beige (for neutralizing blue/purple tones) and Peach Beige (for neutralizing dark tones)
Wide Cover is an under eye concealer range, but it's versatile enough to be used on the face as well.
Wide Concealer and Dark Concealers have a multi-cornered tip and paddle shape; the side tips allow me to apply concealer on the sides of my nose and even right under the lower brow outline while the center tip is for applying concealer on the under eyes; the wide, paddle- shaped body is for spreading the concealer or application on bigger areas; I like how Innisfree has conceptualized this thing.
The tubes of this product is a frosted plastic and it feels like Club Clio's Kill Cover Concealer; material is thick and overall feels solid
Top to Bottom: Dark Circle Cover in Peach Beige; Wide Cover in N21; Spot Cover in N31
Dark Circle and Wide Cover have the exact, same formula, just different shades; it's a creamy liquid with soft, floral vanilla fragrance and soft matte finish; when you blend the product, it develops a powdery matte texture, but still with a flexible, non- drying feel.
Spot Cover is a semi- hard cream concealer with a soft matte finish; it provides medium to full coverage; this concealer looks just like skin compared to the first two concealers because it's meant to even out the skin tone; that said, this is great for applying on top of foundation/touch- ups as well because of its sheer texture.
Bare undereye
With Dark Circle Concealer
The concealer, aside from its nice texture and full coverage, has a blurring effect that immediately smooths out fine lines. My aging under eyes are enjoying this LOL. Also, it has a smooth, blendable consistency, hydrating properties, and skin care ingredients like Camellia Sinensis that act as an antioxidant; the concealer stays on until end of day with no creasing, no taut feel and dryness. A little goes a long way too!
Peach Beige is a medium beige with peach/yellow undertones. This shade can actually pass off as concealer for me and Wide Concealer in N21, a light beige shade with pink undertone, I use as a highlighter.
Post- acne marks
Spot Cover has medium to full coverage; the powdery finish gives it blurring properties as well. I find that the best way to use this concealer is to dab it on instead of swiping/blending. It has decent staying power and best used under foundation if you want better staying power.
I'm pretty impressed with the quality of My Concealer; there are shade matches for morena skin tones, but I think more shades can be added though to cater to deeper skin tones. Would buy it again!

ReplyDeleteOhh i really love innisfree when it comes to skincare but for this one ok naman sya miss martha 😊
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that more and more K beauty brands are expanding their shade range to cater to deeper tones. My current concealer is the Loreal Infallible full wear but I find the consistency too thick for my undereyes. Will definitely give Salmon Beige a try and maybe check out the My Foundation range too while I'm there. :)
