I've always stuck with one luxury bag per year because aside from the ridiculous price, it's actually a reward for myself by myself...as long as I work hard and try to surpass myself every year. I love luxury handbags, but I can't really call myself a collector as I only buy just exactly what I really like; it's more of a motivator for me.

But Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessoires is a different story; let's call it a major bag crush. I've had lots of bag crushes in the past, but this bag truly made do the move and finally, it's mine. No regrets though because I've been using this bag ever since I got it; it's so stylish, compact, yet fits almost everything I need on a daily basis.

In this post, I will share with you my review and how to spot a fake Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessoires!

LOUIS VUITTON MULTI POCHETTE ACCESSOIRES: A BRIEF STORY

Let's get to know the bag! Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessoires was released sometime in September 2019; all of a sudden, the world's biggest influencers, from Rihanna to Hailey Bieber to fashion influencers, were seen sporting this cool, new hybrid cross- body bag comprised of many small bags from Louis Vuitton. Since then, the world was smitten; it came at the right time when multiple bags were a trend and Louis Vuitton was one of the trendsetters.

At the moment, this bag only comes in two strap colors: Rose Clair and Khaki.

Let's take a look at the specs of the bag:

• Adjustable strap (drop: min. 37 cm/14.5 inches, max. 56 cm/22.0 inches) for shoulder or cross-body carry

The hybrid cross- body is a 5- piece collection: Medium pochette, small pochette, coin purse, golden chain/strap, and a Louis Vuitton nylon strap. The product comes with a box and four dust bags.

The bag comes with a small horizontal control card that's about 1/4 the size of a calling card and a care booklet. If the bag you're eyeing comes with a calling card- sized control card and doesn't come with the care booklet, beware!

To precede this authentication post, here is the official receipt. The bag was purchased from Louis Vuitton Greenbelt 4. Initial price is P94,000 (approximately 1,800USD). As of this writing, the bag's price has increased to P103,000 locally; the wait list for the bag in the Philippines is very long according to my last inquiry, which was around December 2019, and there are currently over 100 people in line for the bag, hence they're not taking reservations anymore due to stock issues and will only contact customers if ever the bag becomes available.

Let's now take a look at the bag and know the important details to look for to distinguish a real Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessoires from a fake one.

FIRST PART: THE MULTI POCHETTES

There are two main bags: Pochette Accessoires and Mini Pochette Accessoires. These are actually similar to Louis Vuitton's classic pochette bags, except that there is a tad bit difference in the length of the bag, which actually does a pretty good difference to its capacity.

On the front portion of the exterior of the bag, a leather tag with the heat- stamped brand name hangs by the center. The stitching on the flap is a lighter color, almost close to the color of the leather tag and the rest of the stitching on the bag is tone on tone; the leather tag stitching is actually sewn on top of the bag stitching, thus creating the continuous stitching effect. If the stitching on the bag you're eyeing is not similar to this, beware!

The heat- stamped brand name on the bigger pochette is bigger than the smaller pochette. If the brand name on the leather tags on the bag you are eyeing are similar or the bigger logo is on the smaller pochette and vice versa, beware!

The first version of this bag came in Louis Vuitton's iconic monogram canvas style. The front and back portion of the pochettes have the regular- sized monogram prints, while the sides and bottom have smaller monogram prints. If the bag you're eyeing doesn't have two types of monogram prints, beware!

Here is the interior of the Pochette. It comes with a small open pocket with a leather tag sewn in the middle. Interior is brown regular canvas.

If the bag you're eyeing has no open pocket within the pochette and has no leather tag on, beware!

Here is the interior of the mini pochette. It has no pocket and comes with a small tag sewn on one of the sides of the bag. Material of the interior is regular canvas as well.

If the bag you're eyeing doesn't have a small tag sewn in the interior of the mini pochette and it comes with a pocket, beware!

The pochettes only come with gold hardware. The zippers on the pochettes are shaped like a bottle and only have small holes that attach them to the bag. The main hardware namely the lobster clasp and zipper have the LV logo on them: on the zipper, the logo is embossed and on the lobster clasp, the logo is engraved.

Pochette comes with two thick rings on both ends. Mini pochette comes with two lobster clasps on both ends. The pochette does not come with clasps so you can't turn it into a night bag together with the gold chain strap, unless you hook the mini pochette on it or attach it to the nylon strap; it's a clever strategy of Louis Vuitton to prevent this bag from cannibalizing the sales of the classic pochettes that are the same size as the pochette and function as a night bag too. 

If the bag you're eyeing has lobster clasps on the pochette, doesn't come in gold hardware, the zippers have huge holes that let you attach a key chain and aren't anything like the one in the photo, and the lobster clasps and zippers don't have the LV logo on, beware!

SECOND PART: COIN PURSE

The coin purse is a classic SLG (small leather goods) of Louis Vuitton, except that the one on this bag is much bigger and comes with a lobster clasp so you can attach it to the nylon strap or on the pochettes.

The monogram print on the coin purse is in the same style as the pochettes: one side has the regular- sized monogram prints and the other side has small monogram prints. The hardware on the coin purse comes in gold and the lobster clasp has the LV logo engraved on it. The zipper is the same as the pochettes.

If the coin purse on the bag you're eyeing doesn't come with two different monogram prints, don't come with a lobster clasp, the lobster clasp doesn't have the LV logo engraved on it, and the zipper is not identical to the ones on the pochettes, beware!

Here is the interior of the coin purse. My bag is made in France, but it is also possible for authentic Louis Vuitton to be made in Spain and the USA. The inside is still canvas, but coated and textured. The LV logo is heat- stamped on the bag, but comes in gold foiling.

The coin purse on this bag has folded leather reinforcements that join both ends of the purse on both sides to prevent your stuff from falling out indiscriminately.

If the bag you're eyeing doesn't have the leather reinforcements, beware!

Here's the hardware of the coin purse. If the hardware of the coin purse of the bag you're eyeing doesn't look anything like this, beware!

THIRD PART: STRAP AND GOLD CHAIN

The first edition of Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessoires only comes in two strap colors: Rose Clair and Khaki. Mine is Khaki.

The strap is a deep khaki green with the brand name LOUIS VUITTON sewn on it, but in a lighter, reflective shade of green; it's almost tone on tone, but not quite. The strap is adjustable with a gold buckle. A small gold ring is sewn on a leather trimming on the strap loop that connects to the bale.

The strap has some weight to it when you factor in the gold buckle. The strap is of high quality and feels pretty sturdy and thick. 

If the strap on the bag you're eyeing doesn't come in either Rose Clair or Khaki, feels flimsy and light, doesn't have gold hardware, the brand name is too small and doesn't come in reflective, almost tone-on-tone thread, and doesn't have the gold ring sewn on a leather trimming on the strap loop, beware!

Here's a close- up of the lobster clasps on the nylon strap. They are attached on individual leather trimmings and the entire brand name is engraved on each clasp. If the bag you're eyeing don't have these details on the nylon strap, beware!

Finally, here's the gold chain. It has medium- sized holes and comes in a shiny gold finish.

I don't even need additional photos to determine that this bag is fake; so many sore thumbs sticking out! Yikes! One of which is the strap; Louis Vuitton offers a similar strap, but it is sold individually and NEVER with the multi-pochette bag.

Here's a close- up of the monogram material. The dye of the print is way too dark, the LV logo is off center, and the overall craftsmanship of the bag is poor.

Look at the leather flap on the exterior of the pochettes; poorly sewn on the canvas, glazing is too messy, and the heat- stamped logo are nearly identical in terms of size when in fact they should be different.

But it's so hard to spot fakes just through photos alone so it's really best to buy directly from a store or to see the bag in actual before committing to purchase from third party sellers; it's not a cheap bag and you have worked hard for your money so don't give it away easily.

QUICK REVIEW: LOUIS VUITTON MULTI POCHETTE ACCESSOIRES

I almost let this bag go, but I have decided to buy it the last minute when my SA called and informed me that my reserved bag has arrived. I had reservations because I thought that it was too small and too pricey for a fancy body bag, and I also thought it was just a fad bag.

Turns out I was completely wrong! The bag is highly versatile: it can be the hybrid cross- body that it actually is, a night bag, and three separate pouches (I use the mini pochette as a makeup bag for my bigger bags); the nylon strap can be used on other bags as well. The classic monogram material and solid colors prevented the bag from looking too faddish; all in all, there's cohesiveness in this seemingly busy bag and it's trendy and classy all at once.

Another thing I love about the bag? It instantly amps up my style! As someone who loves sporting plain clothing all the time, I rely on the textures, colors, and styles of my bag to spice up my look and this bag didn't fail me in that aspect. Aside from being a bag, it looks like an accessory that immediately elevates my look; this bag color way looks stunning on either all white and all black outfits.

Also, this bag fits a lot! I can fit a small makeup kit (contains a compact, mini wet wipes, 2 lip products, and oil control film), earphones, power bank, wallet, keys, 30ml perfume, and slim items such as receipts. It can fit everything I need on a casual day! Comparing it to GUCCI DIONYSUS SMALL, which is almost the same size and has the same capacity as this bag, Louis Vuitton MPA seems to fit more because the canvas material is much more flexible than Gucci Dionysus' rigid shape.

Overall, I love this bag; I didn't expect I'd like it more than Gucci Dionysus! It's worth the purchase and I always reach out for it ever since I purchased it!

IS LOUIS VUITTON MULTI POCHETTE ACCESSOIRES FOR ME?

If you love free hands, this bag is definitely for you; in terms of posture health, this is a good option because the cross- body format evenly distributes weight on your torso, activating it to carry the entire weight of the bag and its contents. But take note, this is just my observation; this posture thingy is not medically verified.

It's also perfect for you if you want to transition to a smaller bag, but would still want to bring your day essentials; it's like a small bag for titas LOL.

If you are not that careful with bags, Louis Vuitton's coated canvas material is best for you; it is very sturdy, it isn't leather so doesn't require too much care, can be cleaned easily with a dampened cloth, and can be taken out on a light drizzle or moderate rain.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF LOUIS VUITTON MULTI POCHETTE ACCESSOIRES

1. Always store the bag in the provided dust bags

2. I always put silica gel packs in the bag to prevent moist from forming in the pouches

3. Avoid touching the leather trimmings with oily hands because it may leave a mark on the surface, causing uneven oxidization.

4. Don't clean the canvas using harsh chemicals; water is enough most of the time!

5. Do not overstuff the bag because the sides of the bags may wear out easily.
