Colored Eyeliner Tips and Tricks + Youtube Video
I guess the face mask is going to be a daily staple in the next one to two years and this, of course, will limit our capability to express ourselves through a full makeup look.

But don't forget that our eyes are still free, the new normal makeup canvas that will entice and encourage us to explore the hundreds of colorful possibilities.

That said, I'm sharing with you through a fresh Youtube video some of my favorite ways to use classic and colored eyeliners. Eyeshadow can come later!

I'm obsessed with eyeliners lately because of Ready Set Glow, this local makeup brand that offers awesome, pigmented, affordable eyeliners; a first for a Filipino beauty brand to specialize in colored eyeliner products. I'm only the black and sometimes, brown eyeliner kind of gal, but because of Ready Set Glow, I've been experimenting with eyeliners a lot lately!

In case you cannot watch the video or would like a rundown of the tips I shared in the video:

1. Refrain from wearing red- colored eyeliners because it makes eyes look tired and irritated, most especially on the waterline area. If you would like to wear red, pair up with a black eyeliner to neutralize color.

2. Remember to set eyeliner with translucent powder to make it last longer; this is a great top to follow most especially if you have moderate to severe oily skin.

4. Eyeliner Sandwiching technique: if you can't seem to make eyeliner last longer, try this technique that I've been doing since college days, specifically when doing stage makeup: apply eyeshadow base and powder lids with a matte powder, apply waterproof eyeliner and let dry, apply waterproof liquid eyeliner and let dry, and finally, seal with a cake eyeliner or eyeshadow powder that's the same or almost the same color as the eyeliner you have used. This technique of mine has kept my eyeliner from running off even in crying scenes!

5. There are two ways I love using colored eyeliner: one is an accent and that is I just apply it above black eyeliner. The other is the accent eyeliner combos wherein I combine two to three eyeliner shades to create a multicolored, trendy eyeliner look.

6. When combining eyeliner colors, always remember to include one basic color to neutralize the brightness of the other colors. It is also important to know how to mix and match colors for a more cohesive look.
