TBJ TITA LIFE: Why I chose Beko Harvest Fresh Technology Fridge

So I bought a new fridge. Obviously, it's from Beko because I've been blogging about them for quite a while now and have been reading about the brand in the last few weeks. Why, you ask? It is because I planned to buy my mom an appliance as gift for her upcoming birthday. I was choosing between a new gas range and fridge, and ended up getting her a fridge. My fridge of choice is Beko RDNT401E50VZK with Harvest Fresh Technology. It's my second time to buy a major appliance (first one was an air-conditioning unit) and aside from it being a confident and good purchase, it's also a special one because it's my first time buying my mom an appliance.

So why did I say it's a good purchase? Let me tell you why. This is going to be very useful for you if you're looking at purchasing the same unit or you are looking to buy a new fridge.

When I started looking for a fridge, I had the following criteria and my deal with myself was if everything was met, then I would highly consider the fridge.

1. Brand and reputation

2. Should be an inverter fridge

3. Should have cool features

4. Price

I told myself that these criteria would influence 60% of my decision and the remaining 40% would come from customer reviews. 

This fridge by Beko met all the criteria; aside from being an inverter fridge, by a brand that's considered no. 1 in Europe, and having a decent price tag (this is around P36,000+. See below why it's pretty much worth the price tag), it has really cool and modern features that definitely suit a modern lifestyle and address the updated needs of consumers when it comes to food storage.

Here's the main compartment of the fridge. I love that the beverage rack can house tall bottles. Also, there is a Cosmetic Box. Could this fridge be any more perfect for beauty lovers like me?! I'm so pleased that this fridge has this compartment because cold storage for cosmetics is really a thing and it's so thoughtful of Beko to address that. Finally, your family members will no longer eat your face creams by mistake LOL.

The shelves are very spacious and deep, and I feel that the height of each shelf is just right; my current fridge has this odd bottom shelf that's too tall; wish that some of that space was converted into another shelf so I have four instead of three shelves, just like Beko's.

And since I mentioned that I love this fridge's cool features, here's one feature that I think would be really useful to my brother and mom: HARVEST FRESH TECHNOLOGY.

Harvest Fresh Technology helps keep produce fresh longer by mimicking the different shades of the sun. The life of produce such as fruits and vegetables is highly dependent on seasons, as dictated by the sun. With Harvest Fresh techonology, it aims to prolong summer or the blooming season in the produce cabinet so produce can stay fresh longer, approximately a few more days from its expected life span. Isn't that cool? Harvest Fresh Technology is an indispensable feature for food entrepreneurs like my brother and mom because this means that they can prolong the freshness of their ingredients, hence more savings from food wastage and more time saved.

This sleek unit has a remote control touch panel embedded on the freezer door. The panel lets you control the temperature of the freezer and main compartment from the outside, switch to eco mode, and monitor the internal temperature of your fridge.

And finally, one reason why I love this fridge is because of the ergonomic design. All the layers, compartments, and cabinets can be pulled off from the fridge for easy cleaning and washing. How cool is that?! I specifically love that feature on the freezer part because this means you don't have to defrost the fridge anymore just to clean off meat drippings. Also, the meat compartment is spacious!

Another cool feature is the fridge has a built- in alarm that goes off if you've accidentally left one of the doors ajar so you won't leave it accidentally open for hours.

I was expecting that this fridge would cost me above P40k given the look and features, but it's less than that. Overall, I deem this Beko Harvest Fresh fridge purchase a great buy because of the look, its energy- saving features, and of course, the cool, modern, practical features.
