Touchdown, Singapore! It's been 7 years since I last visited this country and I'm pretty happy to be back
this time for an actual vacation, not work- related, which is what my past few visits were all about.
Singapore is one of the first countries that opened its doors to tourists at the start of 2022 that's why it has seen a surge of visitors from all over the world. The travel and health requirements of Singapore for Filipino tourists is quite simple. Check my SINGAPORE TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS FOR FILIPINOS 2022 blog post for the details!
DAY 1
It was a very early flight for us and were team no sleep so I didn't get to take a lot of pictures. After checking in at our hotel, Hotel Grand Central, we went out to grab lunch. Hotel Grand Central is in a lovely location, just 2 minutes away from Orchard road, but the room that we have reserved wasn't given to us due to a miscommunication between the booking company and the hotel and we had no choice but to deal with it during our stay so I wouldn't really recommend it.
After lunch, we passed by Emerald Hill, which is one of the instagrammable spots along Orchard road. This is right in front of Orchard Gateway and comes alive at night because the buildings are actually bars.
For dinner, we tried out P.S. Cafe, which is one of the highly raved restaurants in Singapore and by tourists. I had to reserve a slot prior our arrival in Singapore because according to reviews, you can't just walk in the place and dine because they're always full.
It's a premium restaurant, but to be honest, food is just okay. I ordered steak and fries, but I was pretty disappointed with the portion of the steak given the price. The soup that I ordered, which is mushroom soup, is HUGE, but quite hard to eat since it's very thick and almost like porridge plus it's very expensive at 15SGD.
After dinner, we headed to ION mall because I was hoping to check out Chanel. Unfortunately, the store was close by the time we got there so we just wandered and discovered that there is actually a Bacha Coffee branch in here. The Brazil coffees are really good and we picked up the ground coffee versions as souvenirs for my mom and mom-in-law. The croissant is really good too!
DAY 2
I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures again because aside from it rained pretty hard and frequently that day (thunderstorm level!), most rides required us to leave our stuff in the locker including cameras and phones.
Here are my most suggested rides with a thrill meter!
1. Battlestar Galactica- 8/10 (for 10/10 thrill, go for the Cylon ride)
2. Transformers- 7/10 (a really cool 4D experience)
3. Elmo Spaghetti Space Chase (8/10 not because it's thrilling, but because it's sooo cute!)
4. The Mummy Returns (10/10. Not for the faint of heart. This one is actually both thrilling and scary!)
5. Enchanted Airways (7/10. A good primer roller coaster before you go for Battlestar Galactica)
6. Shrek's Castle (6/10. A pretty good 3D experience, but honestly, it's nice to visit if you want a break from all that walking and falling in line)
7. Puss In Boots (6/10. A cute ride with a hint of thrill)
The park opens at 12pm and closes at 7pm. They had to shorten their opening hours perhaps due to the pandemic. That said, I highly suggest that you get the Fast Pass because it will save you a lot of time and will enable you to enjoy a lot of rides and attractions.
For dinner, we tried Eggslut, an LA- based burger joint that a lot of tourists have been raving about. Food is pretty good and I really enjoyed the Eggslut signature dish!
That's all for day one and I also did a vlog of this on my channel so please watch it! Please subscribe to my channel too!

I like your ootd's po as usual. Also, thank you for the review of the PS. Cafe. Some friends raves about it but now I now it's not worth the hype. I guess expensive food doesn't always mean the best.
