Here's the thing: I'm the type who tends to take note of things that have impressed me the most, whether it be a service, product, destination, food, or even a person.

When it comes to bases, I've a list of foundation and powder combinations that I use together 90% of the time. Yup, that's how dedicated I can be! But how can I not? I've personally experienced how great and long- lasting these combinations are, and I'm more than happy to share them with you today.

Ladies, take note of these powder + foundation combinations if you want a base that doesn't break!


1. KAT VON D LOCK IT FOUNDATION + COTY AIR SPUN

- One of my favorite combinations. I love using these to events, whether it's me attending them or me managing them. When I combine the two, my makeup becomes immovable!

2. BYS BANANA POWDER + BYS CREME FOUNDATION

- A surprising combination! I discovered this combination last year; I wore both and had to run errands for an event I was managing, and my base looked fine even after 6 hours of running around, sweating, and zero retouch.

3. L'OREAL INFALLIBLE PRO- MATTE FOUNDATION + L'OREAL INFALLIBLE PRO- MATTE 16-HR. POWDER

- My favorite drugstore combo. L'Oreal's best- selling, worth trying and buying Infallible range is queen at staying power; combine the Infallible foundation and powder, and you're sure to have a flawless, matte look that lasts without spending a lot!

4. NARS ALL DAY LUMINOUS WEIGHTLESS FOUNDATION + COTY AIR SPUN

- Coty Air Spun seems to make everything last long so I recommend it as a universal setting, bullet- proofing powder (lol). I tried combining both because the shade I got for Nars was a bit dark for me and was pleased to know that Coty was able to lighten up the shade, plus made it super smooth- looking and long- lasting too! I can go the whole day without retouching my face of I have these on!

5. HUDA BEAUTY FAUX FILTER FOUNDATION + BANILA CO PRIME PRIMER POWDER

- Huda's foundation, on its own, has incredible staying power and becomes immortal if paired with Banila Co's featherlight setting powder that has outstanding oil control and smoothing effect.

6. MAKE UP FOR EVER ULTRA HD STICK + MAKE UP FOR EVER HD POWDER

- My favorite combo from makeup for ever. Combine both for whole day coverage and for a whole day, camera- ready face too!

7. ANNA SUI LIQUID FOUNDATION + CHARLOTTE TILBURY AIR BRUSH FLAWLESS FINISH POWDER

- A new awesome combo I discovered lately. Anna Sui's foundation has good staying power and looks natural through and through, while Charlotte Tilbury's powder adds that extra oomph in coverage and staying power, plus makes skin significantly smoother too.

8. MAC STUDIO FIX FLUID + MAC STUDIO FIX POWDER

- The classic combination. Studio Fix Fluid + Powder is a favorite technique among celebrities and makeup artists, because this combination apparently intensifies coverage and extends wear time. I've tried both individually, but never together. I should get myself new Studio Fix babies and try this combo for myself!
