Contrary to popular belief, Korean beauty brands aren't just all about BB and CC Creams, and sheer, lightweight foundations; some have full coverage offerings too, especially now that full yet natural- looking coverage is a rising beauty trend in Korea.
If you love K-Beauty products and full coverage foundation at the same time, here are brands and variants that you can try.
- A thin, moisturizing yet full coverage foundation with an "ink- like" staying power and consistency; great for oily skin. It's also a close dupe of NARS All Day Luminous Foundation.
- A medium to full coverage foundation/concealer with a non- drying finish; great for combination oily-normal and dry skin types. The product conveniently comes with a buffing brush at the bottom, which is detachable and washable.
- A cushion foundation that provides a second skin coverage and soft powdery finish, perfect for those with moderate to heavy skin pigmentation and texture issues. Lasts for about 4 hours on oily skin.
- A very full coverage foundation, perfect for those with heavy skin discoloration and texture issues. Has a light floral scent that helps mask oil and has great oil control. The formula does not oxidize as well.
- A full coverage foundation with a light, hydrating texture and feel. Lasts for about 3-4 hours and without the dry look and feel, making it ideal for combination oily-normal and dry skin types. This foundation was developed by Son and Park, a famous makeup artist duo from Korea, and it promises that you only need one drop to achieve even, smooth- looking skin.
What have you tried from this list? Got any recommendations?

ReplyDeleteHi Ms. Martha! Natuloy kami ni hubby dun sa innisfree shop in moa as you suggested so i can find my shade. I did find my shade but somehow my skin didn't really like it as much as my go to L'oreal Foundation. But i got some other neat stuffs at the store. Innisfree and Banila Co are still my go to korean beauty brands.
ReplyDeleteI've never thought K-beauty has a foundation, I guess because of the popularity of bb and cc cream in the market, I hope they won't leave a cakey look, which I experienced in the cc cream brand I used before.
