Welcome to the club! :) I'm a plum lover too (as well as most of my readers here) because I don't know why, but it REALLY looks great on morena skin tone.

L-R: Inglot 293, Inglot 426, MAC Rebel, MAC Violetta, MAC Heroine, Avon Ultra Color Absolute in Smooth Plum, Ofra Lipstick in Fuchsia, Benefit Lollibalm, Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Shameless.
Correction: MAC Up The Amp is MAC Heroine.
For a little bit of drama and for night time wear, try the following shades: MAC Rebel, Inglot 293, Avon Ultra Color Absolute Smooth Plum.
For something that works both for day and night, try the following shades: Inglot 426, Revlon Shameless, MAC Violetta, Ofra Fuchsia.
For daytime wear, try the following shades: Benefit Lollibalm, MAC Heroine.

Wow, lovely shades. But I've never tried using that color though. I'm only into reds, pinks, and oranges as of the moment. I'm trying out nude lipsticks a bit, but I'm still searching for the right color. :) I might try the lipstick you recommended, especially the inlot 426 and Ofra Fuchsia. I hope it would fit me. :)
ReplyDeleteWow you have a nice collection of plum lipsticks. I haven't seen anyone here in our place wearing this kind of lipsticks yet. We live in province kasi. Mac will always the most appealing shade in swatches.

I really want to try out plums but I never get the chance to do so because I'm afraid it will not suit me or mukang OA sakin tignan lalo na sa school or office. But upon reading this post, I think I will cross those barriers of thinking it won't look good on me. I will invest on a good plum lippies. :D
ReplyDeleteI wore the Revlon matte balm onetime at school and I look like a vampire or creature of the dark. Ahahahahaha. Anyway, I haven't done it again and I now usually pair it with red and pinks to tone down the intensity.
ReplyDeleteMajorie: Yup, that's a nice tip. You can always mix lipstick shades to come up with something that you like! I do that sometimes. :)

Mica: Both are really nice brands, but if you're on a budget, Inglot is what I will recommend. :)
